would a giro remedy be a good choice while skiing steep tree runs, shoots, and small cliffs ( 5-20 footers) in deep powder, or is it overkill

I don't think it's an overkill. It'll make you feel safer aswell.

Beating in your face in a rock or a tree certainly wont be any cool

na man i wear a helmet when ever i ski, gives you confidence and smashing your cranium on inanimate objects is not a good time, rock the G10mx i love it

yes, the full face helmet I think would be nice when skiing trees and cliffs, it would give you more confidence and more protection against branches, knees in the face, etc. Plus it keeps your face a little warmer. Not overkill.
