Yeah and if you want a cheap one go for a Pro-tec. I like it but prob not as good as giro.

helmets are for people that fall on there heads..... but get a capix baseball one.... i have one.... for the comps where u need one.... it will never help me becuase its so thin but i normally dont fall on my head so im set.....

I bought a Giro nine.9 on vacation in colorado on my way out to Mammoth cuz i was told you cant go into their highest level park without one. It is really warm really comfortable and lightweight after a few runs you wont even notice it. Also it gave me a confidence booster while crahing through the trees since all my friends back home gave me shit for not wearing one they were jinxing me and I had to get one.

lol, yeah motor cross helmets look weird unless your right out in the backcountry doing some insane chute or dropoff. The best is when yousee little punks on their bikes riding around town with one on, haha

 
I have Giro and I like it, I have no idea what model it is, it says 9 on it so maybe that? I don't know, I don't care, I only wear it when I have to in comps and I chose that one because it's super light (the guy claimed it was the lightest helmet out there *last season*) plus it's a mad iradescent silver blue color.
