i wear one but ive sort of always had to (race), but i would never ski without one, i don't like the risk skiing without one, and now if i ever do it feels so wierd without one, the only time i would chose not to wear one would be for summer skiing cause it gets to hot

I rarely wipe out when when I do, there's usually ice. Last, year, when trying my first 360s ever I spun off the tiny jump but fell back after and smacked my head on a chunk of ice and had a mean headache after.

So, I haven't bought my helmet yet but I'm either gonna get a K2 Semi-Automatic or a Protec Halfpipe helmet. Whatever fits best.

This is the first year that i'm wearing a helmet and i'm glad. my friend (striderMG) has been wearing one for a few years and when ever i'm about to drop off something or hit a jump i always kinda was afraid i'd hit my head and mess it up. So i got a helemt. I think it allows people to push themselves more because they feel safe, which is good and bad but you decide

I’m off on a rocketship prepared for something new

I’m off on a rok-it-ship ecstatic with the view

I am scared of the things upcoming

And I want for the things I don’t have

Cannot stand to be one of many

I’m not what they are

yeah i wear a helmet when ever im in the park period.

I wear a helmet every time I ski. The ice doesn't hurt as much :) I think it's more comfortable than a hat, and I think it looks better.

Can your brains. I haven't needed my helmet yet, but I'm sure the moment I don't put it on I will crack my head on some bulletproof or a damnn tree. Boeri makes some really good helmets.

Check out the new K2 ones this year, thier helmets seemed to fit me pretty good. all i needed was the money to get one.

i wear one and its probably saved my life at least twice!

Well i had to major falls with it, first i went off a cliff and hit a tree, that was pretty funny, but last year i over rotated a front, cleared the landing of a big table, and the first thing to hit the ground was my head, at least thats what people said, i got a 3rd degree concusion, don't remember anything from it, i don't know if i'd still be around if i didn't have my helmet, and it a K2 helmet, works great.

I wear a giro nine. Their tight, and they weigh like nothing. I always wear it, but I was raised a snowboarder in a fanily of ski racers, so when I switched to jibbin on skis, it only felt natural to wear it.

Yeah I always wear one its definately worth it and its saved me in a few ocasions, like one time i dropped a cliff in a glade and then fell and cracked my helmet on a rock when i landed.

This year will be my first year with one I wear all the time. A couple days ago I was biking at the University nearby me and I skidded out after a drop and flipped my bike and landed head first, the back of my helmet broke right off. This just reinforced my decision to wear one this season on snow.

yea they are a lot warmer and are comfortable too. Just fell more confident with it on. Only time i need it is in the park though but have to wear one to race also. Except for the price i cant think of a reason not to have one.

ever since I did a split on a rail, and after the split, somehow i dont know how my skis gave out from me and i did like a backflop onto the rail and smashed the back of my head, huge egg on my head, probably had a concussion or something, after that i have never once not worn a helmet. People say they wear a helmet when they only wanna try new tricks.. I personally think the times you really get banged up are the times you wouldn't even think you would fall or spill hard, thats just what it's been like for me

ok, well IM not sure yet. I might get one, who knows...

i wear a helmet sometimes, and id be braindead without it probly. ive smacked a few trees, and fucked up some landings with and without it. i think ill be wearing it alot this year tho, im kinda devloping short term memory loss, or that whole borderline retarted thing....who knows...

i got a big ol giro flint, its sick and i never get hot in it. I wont ski without it, cause hey, no one want a busted up melon when the auger in headfirst of a jump.

i wear a helmet... my first year skiing i didnt but once i started to wear one it feels uncomftorble when i dont

meh... my helmet doesnt look to gay so... might as well

i wear a helmet, always have, because i ski stuff that can fuck you up, i've got a pro-tec halfpipe helmet.

i do, when im racing, at least, or if its snowing or raining out, but not otherwise. specially when im here at the hill around here, i doubt half the people who ski here even know what a helmet is...

i wear a helmet in the park. I've always been unconcerned about wearing one in the backcountry. Though after hearing about a really nasty crash just outside of fernie's boundry, i'm considering it. The guy fucked his head up bigtime...and a helmet would have made all the difference.

Don't think just jump.

I wear mine now full time. Even if the park is closed and I just muck round on groomers.

I've 'used' it once so far. Attempting like my 3rd ever 360 off a tiny tiny jump, I only spun 250 and my skis dug in, sending the rest of my body hard onto the ground. Smacked my shoulder and whiplashed my head onto the ground. Saw stars for a bit. Shoulder hurt like a bitch too.

Wouldn't like to know how I would have been without the helmet.

Also when I was working in the states, the resort I was at some snowboarder was at the top of a black diamond (it was an easy black diamond run) scoping it out. He slipped, and ragdolled down the run. Smacked his head and died not long after. He didn't even have his board on, he was just holding it.

So kids.. protect ya noggin.

i wear a helmet in the park usually...makes me feel secure.

Yep i wear mine all the time. I got one mainly just for racing but i now wear it all the time. i've had a few falls in the race course which the helmet saved me. it also saves you from getting your face all scratched up from the snow. make sure to strap it on too becuase my friend didnt once and he fell and the helmet came off and he got a concusion

I got this big ol' Salomon Guacamole coloured helmet. It's awsome... it's so ugly it's cool. But joking aside it's the safest thing ever.. i caught my tails landing switch one time and flew head first into a snow gun. Got right back up after that and i shoulda been dead. Always wear your helmets in the park kiddies.

I wish I didn't have to wear it, because of style, etc. but I am glad I have one. saved my head the second day after buying it.
