Helmets or No...

i wear one just for the fact that i don't trust other people and don't want brain damage when i get hit by some out of control snowboarder. i also get a sense of security that gives me more confidence when trying new tricks with one on (purely a mental thing).

Well i snapped my hifi in half last year, i dont wanna know what my head would have looked like if i didnt have the helmet on

i've been knocked out countless times and had many concussions. thats with my helmet on.

i always wear my helmet when in the park.

wear a helmet, cause it sucks smaking ur head on hardpacked snow, and your brain can only handle so many concusions before u become retarded, and brain damage, Id rather break my arm than my head dont know bout yall.

Definitely wear a helmet. My dad is a neurosurgeon and he sees a lot of people from skiing/snowboarding accidents, mostly people not wearing helmets.

Whenever I wear my helmet I NEVER hit my head...then if I don't I nail it all the time. 2 weekends ago I hit it 3 times and got slightly concussed....at least that what we joked happened....

does this happen to anyone else??

to bad you only wear a bern helmet if you want to be the one person who sustains a head injury while wearing a helmet

i always wear a helmet and ive worn one for as long as i can remember. I can push myself because i know hitting my head on a rail or the landing of a jump will give me a headache but it wont break it open

I have a G10 and I always wear it, its very comfotable, and steezy too, looks good with goggles

My friend got saved by his helmet, he took a realy bad fall over rotating a huge backflip and he got a severe concussion, it would have been much worse without the helmet(he was wearing a giro 9)

Be smart. Wear a helmet!!!

I most always wear mine when i know i'm giong to be pushing myself. Sometimes if i'm sore/bruised up from a previous ski day and i knwo i wont really being doing much then i rock hats but for the most part helmet wearing is essential!

You'll wish you wore a helmet when the instructions your brain sends to your muscles take a second instead of being instantaneous. I fell last summer from the top of a 6 ft quarterpipe onto the side of my face/head, and don't remember about 30 minutes afterwords. The next day, I was constantly dropping things, buttoning my shirt was hard as hell, because the messages my brain was sending weren't traveling as fast as they normally do, thanks to that 3rd concussion. Even walking down stairs made me nervous, because I couldn't trust my legs to do what I needed them to.

It was the scariest day of my life. Wear a helmet as often as possible, especially when you're trying new/big things. You'll never regret wearing a helmet, you'll only regret not wearing one.

helmet has saved me from getting the edge of my ski slammed into my head. you can still get a concussion with a helmet though, but it's pretty hard to do.

if im in an enviroment where im going to push myself, and i know that, i wear a helmet. but ifim not feeling liek doin anything ill rock the hat. but for hte most part a helmet.

i wear it in park, not on the slopes. helmets give u confidence and let u push a little more. combo it wit R.E.D. rail guards and no kink will stand in ur way. top 2 helmets: bern baker, and (my own choice) R.E.D. Hi-Fi

that looks sick, theres ways u can look dope with a helmet, just get creative or something

remember to never wear those helmet cover things, like the onese that look like toques and have the spikes and bells and shit. that's a major no no. and if u use stickers, nice job, u might be weakening ur helmet, cuz the glue partially weakens the plastic shell. best helmet setup no doubt is all white, white helmet, goggles, and bandana. dont forget that nice fire, mirrored lens.

Yay for helmets. I hooked up on a bs switchup today, and smacked my noggin. Without my helmet, I would be in a lot of pain right now. I have the protec posted above, but in red.

I always wear a helmet.

actually, as of yesterday i need a new one. I'm really sore today, but my head doesn't hurt and I don't have a concussion so that's good.

dude i started wearin a helmet tat the end of last season when i got into bigmountain and man it feels way better...its worth it in the long run....and i means stickers and shit like that or whatever you want u can still look dope in a helmet...and its not like anyone is gunna laugh at u cause u wear a helmet

i have a g10 mx. last year i hit the back of my head with my ski, luckily i had a helmet. but the helmet is done. i have a HUGE ski tip shape dent in the back of it. :/

everyone seems to wear helmets these days, i dont because i have been skiing for a long time and i rarely fall anyway but sliding out on my sides. I think helmets are essential but, i do believe not wearing a helmet can make u a better skier by making you more aware of what ur doing, like over confidence with a helmet on.
