Helmet?

I cracked the foam liner in my smith gage. Looking for a new helmet. Not looking to cheap out, will probably get something with MIPS.

Looking to get a large and something that’s comfortable to wear over beanie/goggles.

Recommendations?

POC or GIRO for me. Been wearing POC helmets for a few years and bought a GIRO MIPS Jackson this season to try out a different brand. Big fan so far, really enjoy the goggle compatibility. The adjustable liner is also a nice touch though a standard on almost every helmet now. Doesnt create weird pressure points that cause headaches for people like me who have had concussions/brain issues and have a big-ass skull. I dont think you can really wear a beanie with that helmet though without taking apart the liner and removing some important stuff, might be how GIRO designs their stuff now or how other helmet companies do it.

Helmets are one of those things that it is important to try on before you buy. I have no qualms about going to an REI or a corporate store to try something on before buying online however.

I just got myself the giro ledge and am super happy with it. The helmet fits nice with my smith i/o and anon mig goggle.
