HELMET

Smith maze will have a thinner fit but the most padding and is rounder so it will fit the beanie good. Don't like the giro shiv not enough padding, very hard an it makes you feel like yo have a concussion on any fall to your head. Dont kno much about the receptor bug but definitely the smith maze is very good for what your wanting.
 
do all of you guys buy your gear online without trying it on first ?
otherwise go to a shop, take your goggle with you and try it on in front of a mirror...
i do that with almost everything i buy....
 
I tried on the Maze and noticed it fits really high on your head. So to keep it on tight you would have to tighten the chin strap a ton. I went to my shop and tried on the receptor bug and loved it. Fits really well and won't fall of. Its also pretty comfy. Just my 2 cents
 
Pocs are THE best and safest helmets you can buy for skiing. You probably won't be able to pack a beanie in there though.

Smiths will probably work the best with goggles - especially if you have Smith goggles - but Poc will still fit your goggles pretty nice. And Giro is just out of the question...

Helmets are too warm for beanies anyway, bring it and your goggles to the store when you go to buy one

Ya same here if i had an XL, but right now i have a L and with the padding out it fits like a dream and is so light that u cant tell its on
