Helmet?

I was just about to post a thread like this. I've been debating whether or not to get rid of mine. Worn one the past two seasons and nothings happened too bad so far. Probably just gonna end up sticking with it
 
I'm actually getting a helmet this year to wear regularly as I haven't before.

It's just a good choice.
 
if your debating this cause its 'cool' or not... wear one. 10 years from now when your paralized cause you didn't wear one just to be cool you might regret it
 
im gonna ski around 120 days this coming year and im thinking i should get one...

and im also in limbo over the idea...

 
i wear a helmet most of the time unless im messing around on a little box or something like that. when im at the mountain i pretty much always wear it. so def yay
 
i agree, i dont think helemets are there to pretect against head injuries not back or neck. but helmets are always good. and they actually do help.
 
for real, helmets have no downsides whatsoever plus with all the new innovatiosn in designs and shapes they're no longer "uncool" to wear or anything, plus all the bigger parks are starting to make helmets mandatory
 
i would say yes only if it fits snug, mine last year did not fit as snug as it should an i got a concusion that i do not think would have happened it i wasnt wearing it, just get one that fits snug, i still one, but this one fits
 
get one. i only wear mine when i know i'm gonna be sittin in the park, if i'm going backbowls i don't bother taking it
 
i only wear mine in park or trees, otherwise fuck it. unfomfertable. and actually if im sessionning something like a rail, ill probably drop it. so, yay and nay, depends.
 
or if your going big, i would be more confident with a helmet, which for me makes sence to wear one then
 
right u are my friend. i've had 8 concusions and many of them wouldnt have happened if i were wearing a helmet. get one, cause i consider myself a good skier, but sometimes u just hit ur head and thats all there is to it.
 
helmet forsure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i would never risk fuking my whole season let alone my whole life because i thought helmets looked gay or felt wierd or something. I find that most skiers wear helmets, unlike snowborders.
 
yay definitely. I don't like my hatted or bare head to come into contact with hard surfaces such as metal, pavement and ice, whicha re very common materials for skiing on the east coast at high speeds. Also it keeps the head warmer in the -30 celsius with windchill.
 
i try to wear one even on a little tiny box casue too many times ive caught, fell back and landed my head on somin, so definately yay
 
for sure man. i have a G10 now, i had a Bad Liutenant, but i split it right in half takin a bad bail in the park at Louise. I got a bad concusion, but would have been alot worse with out it.
 
You wouldn't ride a girl without protection (kneepads, padded headboard etc.), so why would you ride park without a helmet? Just remember; there are creams for rugburn, but brain damage, not so much!!!
 
Can it hurt you to wear one? No.

Can it save your life? Yes.

Is it really worth the risk? You said "nothing bad has happened so far", but its the freak accidents that will get you, an example being CR.
