The normal protecs for skating will work ok (not suited for bad falls imo) but they dont have anything for the cold (like ear flaps) but you could I guess wear a beanie tho its not the most comfy. Protec makes winter ones for a little more, maybe 60-70, havent tried those so I dont know, they look a little more like ski/snowboard helmets but not exactly. Ive found that boeries, leedoms etc are a little too heavy/bulky and pricey. I love the giro 9. I got it for 100 and its sweet, really comfy, almost as light as a beanie! I thought that Id hate wearing helmets but the giro rocks, I forget that its on after 5 min.
