Helmet to goggle interface etc

Gals,

Post your head dressing routine pre-ski. Balaclavas, buffs, hat - helmet or no helmet - hair down, plaits? I always find that the secret is having the perfect amount of hair poking out. And of course not to have gaper gap.

Also I need a new tube - can anyone recommend?

I throw on a yowie, then a beanie, then goggles, and finally my helmet. My hair is a lil too short to peak out currently, so I look like a dude.

I don't know about you guys, but I was kinda disappointed in the traditional Outdoor Tech Yowie. The fabric is super thin on the cheaper ones ... I do suppose it goes with the territory though.

side pony or braid, whatever your style. before i got dreads i liked to add little wispy hairs out the sides. ya know to look gypsy as fuck

buff

smith maze, or pret cynic,

smith I/O fit my face pretty well, although last years model they changed the foam. the year before last years are perfect for a smaller face without getting the I/OS (cause thats not really my jam, just my opinion)

also oakley goggs fit the maze and the cynic really well!

this is just what i wear! hope it helps

Hair everywhere. (I really need to reevaluate that, it keeps getting in my mouth)

Black thin tube around my neck (I lost my favorite knit one in the photos)

Black NS beanie

Black lens poc lobes (under helmet) or Smith Sunglasses

White Poc helmet

Hood up normally.

Last years look

1. French braid my hair down to my neck, then leave the rest in a side pony. This minimizes tangles from helmet hair.

2. SUNSCREEN BECAUSE I LIKE NOT HAVING CANCER

3. Music turned on and one ear listening

4. Face tube

5. Beanie (depending on coldness)

6. Helmet

7. Goggles

i'm a bad girl and almost never wear a helmet, i need to get in the habit

but typically low ponytail, wooly balaclava, beanie if its chirry outside, hood up, goggles on

if its super warm out i go hair down, sunglasses and wizard hood. i'm a closet snowboarder heh

I worked it out.

I have long hair and no bangs. I plait my hair then pull out the hair that falls straight down in front of my ears/closest to my face on both sides. This is the hair that pops out framing my face when I've got a balaclava or tube and beanie on - and you gotta use this bit of hair otherwise you end up with random hair coming out of the bottom of your face tube (and you look like you have a beard and are stupid).

Pop the plait end out of the tube if its long enough and voila! Certified ski babe look accomplished (even though I look kinda dumb in this photo)!
