Okay so this year I need to get a helmet because it is good to have one for my job.

But the big question is what size helmet would be good for wearing a beanie under. I measured my head it was 61cm with a hat on...and that is border line large/extra large...

anyone have any reccomendations on what size i should probably go with.

also the helmet i'm looking to get is the smith holt.

any help woudl be awesome.

According to the Smith website you should get an XL (60-62). You will theoreticly have to wear your beanie everytime you use your helmet, but that's your choice ofcourse.

Anyway, if you're ever on the borderline go with the smallest fit, since a helmet works best with a snug fit, best is ofcourse to try before you buy.

I wear a medium helmet with or without a beanie.

I think a Large would be your best bet, you can always fiddle with the padding.

i ordered the white and black bern baker helmets and i measure a 57cm

medium 55-57

large 57-59

lol, i went with medium since a more snug helmet feels better, plus bern's foam inner material forms to your head shape, the beanie that comes with it (red bandana) only goes around circumference of your head, not whole thing.

i definitely recommend this helmet, i like the hard hat look too more than smiths, but with your head size i say go with XL if you plan to wear a beanie under it constantly.
