Helmet Paintjobs

Simon Dumont had one on a giro "Bad Leutenant" that said "The Dumont" in some funky writing it was pretty cool
 
i painted my helmet wiht a tribal design it looks sick. just put masking tape over ur helmet then cut out your design. and if u have access to an airbruch and someone who is good with one ur will have a great helmet
 
Any company like Troy Lee Designs, Axcel graphics, or other companies that paint Motocross helmets will prob do it. Look in the back of Moto mags like Racer X or Motocross Action, Theres plenty of places that will do it
 
^werd...those guys can throw down the custom paint, it would probably cost more than your helmet though, but if you have the cash go for it.
 
yeah i spray painted my white helmut black, but i put a bubnch of tape on ti first.....and made all these cracks, then i paited over the black with acrilic paint this really fucked up design cuz i was soo sick, but it actuallly looks pretty neat!
 
may i ask you, how many have u seen?

cause i've seen only 1 helmet painted... shagboy's. the rest were redbull, which, in my opinion is not a custom design, since it doesnt represent the rider atall. its just an advertising for a company...
 
i think im gonna make my helmet rasta colors, like red on the side, yellow in the middle and green on the other side, and have them fade into eachother
 
dont think its a good idea.... i mean the fading. it will look like a racer helmet but with rasta colours. u know those bolle racer helmets(like silver with orange and other coloursrs)?
 
how would you suggest i transition colors, or should i just have a line where one starts and the other stops
 
i was actually thinking about that alot myself too...

since the helmet is large(like a big sphere, not like a hat) i think big stripes will actually look pretty bad. prolly the best thing will be to color the whole helmet white and then make a thin stripe(like 5cm) go around with all 3 colours without a transition inbetween. OR make a bunch of stripes just cross each other under random angles, u kno.

as for my helmet... gonna be a major update on my website in like a week or 2... so be patient
 
oh, and when you are doing the design, always consider where the goggle strap is gonna be..... something i forgot to do.
 
if i were you...

i would try to make a plaid rasta... kinda like burberried rasta you know?

and to counter i8van, all the cool kids where the goggle strap under the helmet. ha
 
my friend pinstripes cars and i got him to pin stripe my helmet with automotive paint. it has never come off and still looks sick
