Helmet padding

if im going to wear a beanie under my hat should i take out the padding in my helmet?

why? it would hurt like a bitch if u fell on ur head with no padding in ur helmet. without the padding ur falling on a piece of hard plastic, that would hurt like a bitch

yeah i take the padding out of my protec helmet so i can wear a beanie...it just fits better....although i wear a pretty thick hat. so it works out well.

doesn't it normally hurt when you fall on your head regardless of wearing a helmet with padding or without? hahaha

i take out the padding in the back of my helmet when i wear a beanie.

I have a hifi, and I took out the little padding deally and the velcro for my touque. works just fine!

I guess it has been proven that wearing a hat under your helmet is actually worse for high speed crashes than wearing no helmet at all, but that just really makes no sense. I just leave my pads in, but i would go with whatever is comfier.

uh? I never thought of that. my beanie + giro g10 works fine with padding where it's supposed to be.

im just about to buy a protec classic helmet. I just dont know what size to get because im worried that if i do wear a beanie under a medium would be too small. What size do you have?

just pulled it off. picked at it with my nails, and then bam, no more velcro.
