I made a thread on this a while ago, didnt quite get much info. I got a pretty bad concussion at the end of the season rendering my current helmet, a smith holt useless. So basically I would like some info on what helmet would be good for me. Helmets that I have tried that have fit me well are red hifi and most giros. So yeah just hit me up with ideas. Also if its of revelance I usually wear a beanie and my goggle strap under the helmet, but for saftey I could probably change that cause if I get another sreious concussion I will be pretty fucked.

my recomendation would be to check out the Zip Molds from bern, fully certified as helmets, but the consturction makes it extra light, they also sit on your head great because they all feature a sink fit. the zip mold models are the Brentwood and the G, if you were looking for more of a skate style helmet check out the other lids in EPS foam, all will protect your head great

I love my Giro G10mx, but I broke the adjuster strap barely even falling on my head, so durability wise, I'm not quite sure.

Look at protec too. I have a Protec b2 its really really light and comfortable. i also have a red trace it was my favorite but i outgrew it, it was also light and felt like a skate helmet. Or check out bern, they are heavy but also super warm and nice

dude, was it that last rainy day up on whistler? cuz u didnt look so good after that, anyways, i have a giro encore, and as you know jason, i look pretty fackin steezy. check em out, super comfy, and lots of room for goggles and toques.

I'm thinking for getting the RED Mutiny helmet. Anyone any experiance with it; is it protect your noggen good, how does it look. The pictures make it look pretty tight, but i havent seen it in person.

I have the bern baker helment and i would say consider it because they have a removable liner in them that keeps me warm on cold days and on warm days i take it out and wear my beanie and goggles underneath. Its also a fairly cheap helment and comes in some sick colors.

are you still willing to use a SMITH? not all helmets are going to protect against concutions but they do protect against brain damage and that's what that helmet did, (hopefully) SMITH makes a great helmet and that's all I've been skiing in since they came out. I now ski in a Variant Brim, very skier looking with a small brim and a new helmet they came out with this year is the "hustle" you saw it a lot during the Winter XGames check 'em both out here
