my top 4 favs are-holt-maze-receptor-revolver
out of those^ which ones the best

the receptor is super nice, i love it. the ear pads come out and it works great with a beanie and goggles under. its decently low profile too, and looks pretty sick i think, i would recommend it for sure

i'm thinking about getting an XL because I have a 22.5 in head but with a beanie its looking like about 24 in
I'm praying that the sizing charts are rightbut do any of you have an XL and is it too big?

Yah i have a red trace. I got it for $60 canadian brand new. it works pretty well with a beanie and gogs underneath. I also have an audio setup for it. Its one of the old ones with the headphones built in. It sounds pretty decent and it has a nifty mute button right on the pad so you don't have to unzip your jacket to press the mute button on the cord or get your Ipod out of you pocket when you want to have a conversation. Then new ones just slip into your earpads.

The receptor is ridiculously safe but can be a little bulky due to the type and amount of foam used, I would go for the receptor bug as it lighter and lower profile and even though not as safe as the receptor, it is built very well and is at least as safe as nearly all other helmets on the market.
Receptor = Multi Impact Foam... Higher profile, super durable, great fit
Receptor Bug = Single Impact Foam... Lower profile, lower durability, great fit
Most Ski Helmets = Single Impact Foam...

receptor bug is a little lighter, but I still find that it is too big. Im a huge fan of the smith maze, lightest snow certified helmet on the market right now.

Do NOT buy a helmet without trying it on. Everyone's head is different. Just buy what fits you the best.

i have a holt and its dope. real comfortable, and fits well with a beanie or a bandana underneath. also worked well with my old dragon dx goggles underneath, and works well with cbars aswell.
