hey guys, ill start off with i have no clue wether this goes in gear talk or b/s/t. I'm looking for a helmet for next season and was wondering if i could have some recommendations or find someone to sell me theirs (if new). my head size is about 55 1/2 without a hat, and almost 57 with one. i would like a helmet that i could rock either or that would just fit my head with a hat on. is it still legit protection even when the liner is gone? because a removable liner may also be an option. my set up for next years is red and blue for the most part so i would love a blue helmet if possible, white may be an option too. i have been thinking about the poc receptor, bern baker, or red mutiny so if anyone knows about any of these let me know what you think. lastly, i will have my googles underneath so the helmet needs to be able to accommodate to that. thanks for any response, it will get you 10/10 when you post.

charmander, the holt looks good but if its that cheap does it have low quality or what?to second poster, is the receptor worth the extra cash?to third poster, ya i do have c bars.

definetly get a giro g 10 Mx if you want to look steezy on the mountain. and a K2 Rant in the park. both fit hats. the giro doesnt fit goggles though.

i have the smith hustle and my friend has the smith holt. I feel they are relativly the same in shape and size except the hustle has an open and close system on the vents on the top of the helmet.

I've rocked both oakley ambush and electric eg1s under the helmet and they fit fine.

To the durability note, this was my first year skiing and i was skiing glades (trees) with a friend. Long story short I bonked my head on a tree at a decent speed with my helmet, aside from the knockback and embaressment i was fine.

I have a receptor for sale right now, give ya a good deal on it too. Its such a sick helmet but just doesnt sit my abnormally shaped head. Ive never worn a helmet i was happy with, and was hoping the receptor bug would fit without trying it on but it didnt. Its got 2 sizes of foam for the inside to adjust the fit real good, also removable so you can rock a beanie underneath. POC uses a double shell thing that is supposedly safer than a single layer plastic composite, and the earpads come in and out really easy. Just wish it fit my weird head!

im going to look around the interwebs for the price they are selling for and may make you an offer, ill let you know.
