Helmet hair?

So when my hair gets long and i go skiing for a couple of hours, i get the worst helmet hair, its actually super annoying. Usually i keep my hairreally short so it doesn't matter, but even some of my friends with longer hair dont get it after hours of skiing. Is it the type of helmet? or the way im wearing it? or am i just unlucky? Should i wear a beanie undeneath my helmet?

Sort of relevant, when I was in the lift line last year I saw some gaper looking kid with let's say, bieber hair, take off his helmet, do the little head twitch type thing ya know like to get the hair out of your eyes or something and then put the helmet back on. I just stood there and stared at the kid for what felt like an hour with a disgusted look on my face.

This is a paradox for me. I love having long hair in the winter for warmth when I'm skiing, but it turns into a shit mess every time. Not that I care, I just get some looks once and a while, seeing as I probably look like a serial killer sometimes.

I don't get the problem with helmet hair after riding. You generally go home and shower, or you go to a apres bar where it's practically a badge that you actually accomplished something today.

I will say though, that when my hair gets all fuckey inside my helmet and gets itchy, that drives me insane. Itching it is the best feeling in the world.
