Helmet Camera

So this year I am looking for a helmet camera. I was looking at the POV 1, and camera's at helmetcamera.com . Those seem to be quite pricey, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to get (is it really worth the money? can I find a cheaper alternative). Also what functions should I be looking for?? I have heard it is good to have an on off switch on a cord or something, so you dont have to open your pack every time to turn it on or off, and yes waterproof, anything else?
I also woudnt really be opposed to just duct taping (or making a strap) some kind of video camera to my helmet, if people have any positive experiences with that.

should I maybe try and pick up something like this http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/ele/906005100.html ???

thanks a lot

i met the guys who started the company last year, super cool guys all really chill and love every action sport. they made cameras that preformed to their standards and they are so sick for the price and they are so small. there are tons attachment accessories that let you put it anywhere, not just skiing related!! you can hook them up to your surfboard or you bike or your car or your plane or your dog. the video quality on them is amazing too for how compact they are... at the booth they had a bunch of clips continuously playing on some big screens that were so crisp. i want one so bad.

I agree! i have one and it is amazing. I havent used it for skiing yet but i dh mountain bike with it. And i crashed on my head and the cam held up better than my helmet! Great product at a reasonable price too!

So they have SD cards in them?? so you just mount the helmet cam, and dont have to attach it to a different camera??
also how much did you pay? and you got the wide angle correct?
