dude that shit gives me headaches with all the spinning and movingg. And you cant really see how sweet the trick wass, not a fan

I agree I like to see what's going on. The only time I enjoy helmet cam pov is when I'm watching backcountry.

OH YEAH?

sick that

haha the angle is so far down on accident, a few people have died from watching it

I like when there's a POV shot, and then it shows the trick. Which is what my friend is doing in an edit he's making right now.

does this annoy you/is it super boring?

i'm looking for feedback, it's my first edit and first time using a pov camera

i know there's lots of camera shake from an unstable mount, but other things to work on?

This edit was all shot on my GoPro, just because its a helmet cam doesnt mean it has to always beon your helmet, i made a handle for mine.

Does my off center angle and visor in the way annoy you???

(this is really just self promotion for myself)

^I like your angle, its different. I chose not to mount mine on the side becasue I always hit the side of my head when I fall, never the top.

I find that alot of people point theirs down too much. In some I find my self lifting my head up as if to see what is in front. I don't want to look at the ground, I would rather see in front.

If you don't like the spinning, then don't watch it. I liked the Schweitzer edit. Especially since I can't do almost anything in that and its cool to see. I'm going to use mine for filming other people too. I like doing follow cams.

Haha I didn't watch your before I posted but I just watch a couple minutes and yours is definitely pointed down alot, more than I prefer, but I didn't mind it as much because there was alot more going on (drops and such) so it wasn't as bad. It's the edits that are wide open pow runs where all you see is a pair of skis turning that I cannot even watch. Too boring.

Has anyone tried mounting the cam on their skis in front of their bindings? I am trying to think of different angles that would be cool. Or the head strap could be put around your boot probably.

i got one from x-mas and my bro used it but the way it sets up it points way up so idk why thats happening. and also i like the occasional helmet POV shot but i prefer a follow cam alot more.

helmet cams are the shit, its a whole other perspective of watching skiing, instead of watching a skier rip it up from a distance, you're seeing what the shredder is seeing, who doesnt like that!

have a strap around your chest and mount it there? i've seen a lot of people at my hill like that, never seen how the footage turns out but maybe its more stable then on the head.

I think it would be alot less stable, and uncomfortable. Think about it, your neck is stabilizing your head, your body is going to shake around alot but your neck can at least add some stability, where as if it is on your chest every little bounce will take away from the shot.

Check my edit above i did some pole mounts, but this one i did ski mounts, mounted on a handle and head cam.

^ those were sick, thanks for posting.

i like a good in bounds POV, makes you feel like you could be there skiing those lines... well maybe one of them in this case.
