Helly Hansen Survival Suit Mafia

i really dont like it. I was expecting alot better from HH after last years lineup, i was pretty dissapointed when i saw this years.

is this what you're talking about? kinda lame. maybe if i was a ski guide or heli skiing or something.

Terrible, looks like a Sherpa suit for climbing Everest...if you want a sick one-piece get the 08 Salomon Conspiracy...

im getting the seperate matching pants and jacket.

and go see how pollard reps it in idea, its pretty baggy.

i hope it has some good stash pockets to hid nug

did anyone see the purple women's survival suit!? jesus, i'd but it in an instant if it were a mens color. so sweet. shit, i might but it anyways.

i wore one of these and it was soo thin, but is was in the spring and i was sweeting soo much, but i have no clue if it would be warm in the dead of winter.

Yeah when I looked at the HH book last spring I was so stoked on the suits, I love the purple girls one and the orange one is sick too.

definitely not something you'd wear for scuba. trust me. although helly really does make $2000 immersion suits for offshore workers and fishermen. it's what they started out doing originally in 1877. it's kind of cool in a throwback sense, but not something i would personally wear. not even the women's. you can't see it in the photos but in person the pattern on the purple is really ugly.

let me guess where that is

Bariloche argentina, witch swarns upon swarms of retards with brightly colored one pieces

yo dont say anything about xxl ever being to big. i'm 6'3 and my xxl pants and xxxl puffy jacket are just barely baggy enough. if anything i would rather go for a taller fit in the jacket and wider fit in the legs to be baggy than just referring to chest and waist sizes.

the survival suit is absolutly huge. im 5'11 and the large is perfect/ the xl is massive and if i put the double x up next to me i literally cant touch the top of the hood. i have xl seperates and they are way big.

this suit is the ill sauce, I have the pants with a brown HH jacket. The Pants are so dank though, the pockets are surprisingly and while it might seem excessive, I use 3-4 on average, they just make the pockets so obvious though so thats why it seems like theres more. Pants are super warm and really nice for backcountry use aswell. I tele as well and theres like semi-built in knee pads (like the helly insulation shit but it works as knee pads)

No, you are.

This suits design was based off the HH drysuits that are used in sub-zero water rescues and the like. This one isn't insulated and such like the drysuits are, but that is where the aesthetic features of the suit are rooted.

yeah no shit fuckin retard, they were DESIGNED not MADE for deep sea rescues. the real survival suit would cost over 40 grand to buy. the snow survival suit was MADE for use in thye snow. thats what i was getting at you prick. the guy was sayin he thought they were made for water. he was wrong. so shut the fuck up.

First of all...Learn your place noob. You need some more experience here before you can start in on me with that type of assault

I never said that the survival suit was an immersion suit. Big difference, I said it was modeled after the drysuits they make. Or perhaps I should use smaller words, "aesthetic features" is a toughy...that must be where I confused you. So just to clear things up...the way your eyes see the suit, make it look like a drysuit, but it's isn't really one, it just looks like it, it's pretending.

Better?

And 40 thousand dollars? If you want about 22 of them, sure. Check your pricelist again before throwing numbers around.

You actually can't purchase the HH Sea Survival Suits, only lease them, you may be thinking of the Flotation Suits. After every use they have to be sent back to Norway to ensure they never fail, and are inspected and repaired, hence the reason for the lease. Just a little useless info to add to this rambling thread...
