So, I'm sitting here looking at Helly Hansen Jacket, but I have not seen any information on what waterproofing or breathability it has. The Code Down Jacket, the Mac Daddy Jacket, and the Carrier Jacket are the three that I'm looking at. If you have owned these jackets, tell me if you liked them, how everything was.. or if you know anything about em.

the code down looks sooooo dope, i hope it has a high waterproof rating, 6000mm would make me happy

Helly Hansen is weird, in that their waterproofing ratings are not equivalent to the industry's. That is to say that a 10 000mm Helly Hansen jacket is actually much more waterproof than a 10 000mm Burton jacket, etc. I don't know why or how, but all the helly jackets I've owned or seen have been the same way.

the mack daddy and the the other jackets in the off hill line are technically not for skiing, just hanging out. they will work, but they arent really waterproff- just repellent. the code down is a real ski jacket, but it is particularly waterproof. but like ^ said, hellys stuff is some of the best in the industry, and they always measure down. a 3000mm HH jacket is 5 times better than a 3000mm siver jacket or such. i have a lightwieght 5000mm HH and i can be out in the rain for hours without getting wet. i wish i had the moeny for HH stuff this year, cause its sick.

yeah, i went to the helly hansen store and they said that all of their down jackets including the code down are not waterproof, just water repellent. so if that worries you dont get it, but they could be wrong.

I got the Helly Hansen Sadhu jacket last year, have never gotten wet..and it rains a lot here, it's definately a solid jacket.

Has anyone found a site online to buy HH stuff? I know there's a store around killy that sells it but im not sure how much selection they have.
