i am looking for some mainly powder skis. But i would like too be able to hit big cliffs and powder jumps and i am wondering if hellbents are the ski for me. if not any recommendations?

if you go into gear talk or use the search you might get more responses but the hellbents are a sick ski go for it

Yeah, hellbents could work if you can get them for a good price. Other options could be Atomic Blogs or Bentchetlers. I love my chetlers

Even lighter then the Bentchetlers is the Surface One Life. Such a powerful ski and can slay anything at your disposal, park, pow, clif, doesnt matter cause the one life can slay anything. an its a little bit stiffer so you can handel cliffs better.

meh, the new bents (2010/2011) are too wide for landing larger stuff.

in my opinion 120 mm or bigger is too wide for any real cliff jumping unless it is stupidly deep soft snow. The wider the ski the less soft the landing. at 130mm+ you are gonna have a much harder landing then at 110mm.

yeah the bentchetlers are super light, lightest pow ski I have felt. What type of skiing do you want to accomplish with the skis? that might be a good question to ask.

get next years Hellbents they are so fun and they float amazingly and are both poppy and playful but stiff anough to huck cliffs and move at speeds

i want to be able to ski pow and Huck cliffs and powder jumps i have another pair of park skis so i do not need these for park.

how do you know this about next years hellbents?

I'm not a fan of next year's Hellbents from what I've seen. 132 underfoot does reestablish it as a powder specific ski, but with that additional girth, it's undoubtedly going to lose some of its versatility. While the '10 Hellbent obviously wasn't made for groomers, it skis them fairly well for such a wide and rockered ski. Next year? I don't know what to expect.

The hellbents are great as a powder stick, and they do really well on booters, but they are too soft for dropping cliffs. They tend to wheelie out, even if you dont land backseat. But if you're not dropping bigger cliffs, just small, trickable airs, and hitting booters, then they will be exactly what you want.
