Hellbents vs. New Life

Well those two skis are pretty different, hellbents are pretty soft and New Life's are pretty stiff.

New lifes all the way! The stiffness makes them so good when it's not untouched pow and they can charge so fucking hard

bents, new lifes are too stiff (IMO) and their durability is shi,t my friend had a pair and one of em split in half within a week of riding.

Personally, I love my bents. They're a ski that you're either gonna love or hate. Do you have the option to try any skis out before you buy? I'd recommend that, if it's between two skis that are arguably on the opposite ends of the spectrum.

bents = super floaty playful surf baord like ski. nothign mroe fun in deep pow

new life = smaller / stiffer, crazy rocker, better all conditions ski, feels like floaty snowblades in pow

if you want to ride a big pairir of surfy pow skis = bents, if you want a small park ski type feel for all mountain / pow id say the new lifes. i personaly didn't like the feel of the newlifes but they just arn't my style, could work for some people tho.

if you go new lifes i have a setup that you should do, my friend did it this year because he ran out of mounting points and it is mounting 1 forward of true center so he has more tail than tip, i only saw him fall twice this year on that setup just because they dont let you

Really? I was under the impression that new life's (and surface skis in general) were super poppy. My Nine Life's sure are.

what would advantages of the lite ski be?

im leaning more towards that because i have had a more flexy ski for quite some time

lite or regular caylors?

what do you guys think? i want to be able to stomp cliffs but still be able to have a little fun jibbing around and stuff

i'd go regular, they have a lot of rocker so they're pretty jibby as is but are still stable because of the stiffish flex underfoot. i don't think they would be too stiff for anyone who's an alright skier.
