Hellbents (not like other threads)

ok this isnt a should i get ep's or bents. But im wondering if it really is going to be worth my money to get hellbents. i love skiing pow but my nothin but troubles dont floaat period. Do you think that getting hellbents would be a good idea or should i stick to something more all mountain?

i have parks skis so no worrys for that but i ski pow 70% of the time and this year i've really gotten bettter like doing back country and stuff.

The only downside is that everyone at stevens is shitty and will ask you if they are actually waterskis or tell you that the topsheet is too demonic and that you should cover it up.
 
Hell yes. Try to demo them so you can get a feel for the rocker and the XXXL width but...overall for deep pow you cannot go wrong. Another good option is bacons, but their floatyness is nothing compared to the rockered twins.
 
absolutely get them, i love mine and wont ski anything else while i have them, even for park, my invaders feel too unstable, and the hellbents feel stable, i've gotten so used to them, a ski with camber doesn't feel right

i 100% recommend them

I was at EVO this winter and was looking at all the skis. A kid and his dad came upstairs and the kid looked at the Hellbents. "What do you think Mom would say if I came home with these?" He inquired. "Well, frankly she wouldn't be pleased, and neither would I. I don't even know what to say about those things. Now pick something nice out."

That made my week.
 
ya they are so good i bought two pairs one for skiing and one to help butter my 30 foot bagel
 
after skiing the last 3 weeks of the season in WA on hellbents I'm pretty sure I will RARELY be pulling out unrockered skis.

bacons or EP's for sure. I love my EP pros. im also a big fan of bacons. the work really well as an every thing ski. and you know wide skis handle better on rails. so EP's or bacons.
 
I rode a pair of 179's for a run last year. that run was easily the funnest thing ever. Buttering my way down the cat-track towards the cliffs, i was laughing the whole way. Get to cliffs, pack out a lip, drop a 180, which is something I'd been trying all season on my non rockered skis, drop 20 feet, land in waist deep powder, and I actually stayed on my feet with hardly any effort. It was amazing, i even made switch turns out of it. That one thign alone made me certain that I was jumping on the rockered bandwagon. They're simply amazing.
 
They were too small for me, but still useable, I'd get all wack with wheelies which is just a matter of getting used to them. I'm 6'3 and 160. I'm probably goign to end up with a pair of 189 next year, but the 179's were still completely useable and super fun.
 
those pics in your profile are just from one demo run? damn.

if you're over 6 feet tall then 179s are for fun and 189s are for fun
