Hellbents and Anthems (171 or 178) vs. Line Elizabeth

So basically im trying to decide if the two ski quiver is worth the money (hellbents and anthems)

or just get a 1 ski quiver like the Elizabeth.

money shouldnt be too much of a problem but i dont wanna spend money i dont need to spend.

so basically how does the lizzie work as a powder and park ski

how sick would the bents anthems be? worth it? what size anthems?

im 5'10" 155lbs

well since your from WA just get hellbents and ski them I ski hellbents everyday and the only time I have trouble with them is when it is buletproof but not to many skis do well in that shit. So GET DA BENTS.

well should i get the anthems too for the days that its a bluebird day and kinda icy where im gonna be hitting a lot of rails and boxes?

Bents are pretty fat and easy on the rails but not light, I am not to good with the rails but if you like switch-ups and big spins on and off AkA if you good at rails get anthems as well. Or just invaders for cheaper and just jump with the bents.??? Whatever floats your boat bro.

well if i spent a lot of money on my bents id want to keep them nice so i probably wouldnt rail them much

just get both.solly sth's or jesters/griffons on bents and fks 120/155 on anthems.
im pretty sure thats alot of peoples dream quiver

i heard the invaders aren't very good on jumps but slay rails?and what size should i get? im leaning towards 171

at 5'10" 178's would be fine. And the added length will make the invaders seem better for jumps because it will make them more stable. so id say get 179 bents and 178 invaders/178 or 171 anthems. but you would prob be happier with 178

NOT 189s^ dude I am 5' 10" and I ride 169s call me nuts but dude they are waaay more easy to manuver than 179s or even 189s and they are still really stable and the rocker goes into your turning radius once you learn how to really crank em on the groomed.

dont get 169's 179's measure to like 184. i think thats fine for you/easier to maneuver in the air and such. or 189's measure to 194. like he said they ski short but i dont think your ready for them cuz you steal t-shirts from jc-penny. That you like.

Lizzies are sick all over but having a two ski quiver is sick. Get both, having the bents on the deeper days and the anthems for the those epic park days is gonna make you really happy. Definetly go with both if money isn't an issue.

could i get away with a shorter anthem than the invader since it is fatter?
why is 178 so popular tho? maybe im just clueless, maybe im dumb just seems like they would be harder to throw

Width does not compensate for length. At you height/weight, you should have no problems throwing around a 178 center-mounted ski.

whats some of the differences between the anthem and the invader etc.
i know the invader is better on rails and shit and anthem is better with jumps and stuff but like any more details i should know to help my decision. how easy is it to throw around anthems? any different than invaders? weight? etc?

I haven't ridden either, but from what I've heard/read, the anthems should be pretty easy to throw around. They're light and the extra width won't make it much more difficult to spin with. If I were choosing between the two, I would go with the Anthems for sure, I've seen them both in shops, and the Anthems seem much sturdier and would definitely do better outside the park, although neither of those skis is designed for that

I hate when people ask stuff like: Are Hellbents really better in powder than an Elizabeth. Of course it is, it's pow specific and if it wasn't much better no companies would bother making them. If you can, get one ski that is built for one thing and one ski that is built for another thing, better than one ski built for everything.

anthems are wider, so they are heavier, but you wont noticeit...

id go 179bentswith griffons, and 178 anthems with griffons

or a binding of your choice, but def those skis.

dude no offence, but didn't you just get busted for shoplifting? and now you're trying to decide on what skis to get....doesn't really make sense to me

well i have a job that brings in like $400 a month sometimes more to help support the fines i just got. which i doubt will be more than $500 in total so i should have the money for the skis by this summer

i have a pair of hellbents and a pair of t halls and i love my quiver... when i wanna ski park its nice having a lighter narrower ski for jibs and spins... if i were you dude go with the anthems and the bents... i ve herd nothing but good stuff from people who have the anthems and as for the hellbents you ll never ski powder again without a twin tip rockered with a waist less than 120... the hell bents are fucking tanks they destroy anything in their way and are super fun on deep days... go with the two ski quiver

good if you plan on keeping invaders only on park/ice groomers
i got bacons and urban punx(pretty much same thing as invaders lil skinner) and when i had to ride my pux in pow i hated it so much. I wished that i had gotten anthems for those few times. But that may have something to do with my height/weight/how they are too short with me.

id go with the anthems instead because sometimes when there is pow in the park i wish my t halls were a little wider at the waist

i do pretty much plan to only use my park skis in the park but there might be a few scattered days where it might start dumping and all my friends leave to go do some BC and im stuck with a park ski. but it wouldnt be too bad considering im riding ninthward tosh peters this season (80mm waist) which is thinner than the invader and i ride them everywhere, powder i imagine is not as fun but its doable.
what i wanna know is which is the better park ski invaders or anthems?
and in details what is each one better with that way i can compare them better. anyone who has ridden both?

You are riding a skinny ski everywhere now, but once you ride a fat ski, you cannot ride a skinny ski in powder EVER again. Anthems will be better for jumps 30-35ft+. If you are not hitting jumps over 35ft., Invaders are better. Invaders are lighter and are great on rails and spin easy.

whats the advantage of each length and ski?
what advantages does the anthem have over the invader vise versa and what advantages does 171 have or 178 and vise versa

Dude you were asking this question in your other thread, and basically everyone said you shouldn't bother with the 171. 178s in either ski will be much better, especially if you want to hit bigger jumps with them. Invaders and Anthems are both light skis, you won't notice the extra length when you are spinning.

alright i think ive decided on the 178 invaders!thanks to everyone in this thread. ill try and spread some +k around

^ Good choice
And I have two friends with Invaders who hit the big jumps at Stratton (40- 45ft) with no problems

and they ride 178's?i think my main worry about 178's is im skiing 170 ninthward tosh peters this year and i love them too death and the length feels perfect.
and im still at the point where im still learning and stuff on boxes and rails and jumps and don't want a ski thats too much to spin around or control in the air or boxes because i wanna get those nailed down.
so sorry if ive been annoying (im sure i have been) i just really didnt wanna go too big.
so which ever one would be a better one to learn on that would be the better one for me.

haha how many of these tiny, specific questions are you gonna ask? you need to think for your self a little too....

ok sorry here is another question but it doesnt have much to do with the anthem or invader.
but how do you guys feel an AR6 in 176 would work for me? i know im a completely indecisive mess im aware haha

im in the exact same situation as you and roughly same height and weight etc.

i think ived decided to go the bents in a 189 mounted center with my old skis bindings and then get a cheap pair of park skis like the invaders.

and AR6's 176 would be pimp for you, maybe even the 181

ehh im feelin 181 might be a bit long.
whats the weight like on the AR6's?
anyone know anywhere i can get them for like as cheap as the invaders?

haha well im still most likely gonna get the invaders just cause they are such an amazing price but AR6's would be pretty dope, but i skied a stiff ski this season just kinda wanna change it up next year and get a softer ski anyway like the invader

do u think bents, seths and invaders would be a good quiver. dont know much bout the invaders, im scared they mioght be shiot for jumps

that would be a very expensive quiver and the seths might be a little unnecessary but if money is not an issue then go for it, and ive heard invaders aren't the best on jumps but if your not hitting anything huge than they should be fine

i have a similar question to the original question. I have chronics for park, since that is all i do in CT, but next year i am going to school in VT and i was thinking about getting Elizabeths for the trees, but I can get 169 Hellbents for the same price. I will only be using these on pow days, so which do you think is a better choice. I want them to be shorter because the trees can get fairly tight, and I am a strong skier. I would probly bring them in teh park for a lap or two but i wouldn't ski them on a bluebird day with no pow. Thanks for any help

One of my friends is like 5'6" with 161 Invaders, another is like 5'8" with 171s, and they don't have any problems on the biggest jumps @ Stratton. My friend with the 171s hit the super huge ones @ Mt. Snow and it was no big deal.
