Hellbent size question

Sorry for the repost of a million other threads bought i just bought 179 hellbents but im worried about how big they will be for me, im the same exact height as my 171 anthems. But i heard the Bents are bigger than advertised, so should i attempt to trade for a pair of 169's or just stick it out with my 179's and wait untill i hopefully grow and gain weight (140 pounds).

Im only using them for steep heavy pow, on mt hood.

Don't go with a shorter size because rockered skis ride about ten centimeters short because of the amount of ski touching the snow.

I am not sure the word steep can describe Mt. Hood, but they will be just fine for you. Even though they will be longer than your Anthems, you will have a quick swing weight due to the rocker and you will appreciate that extra bit of length when you are maching past your friends atop the snow.

The EP Pros have 100cm of ski on the snow when on hard pack, watch the ski video at lineskis.com

heather is steep enough, nothing else is.

I sent the money to the guy but then he found someone to pay him more so he backed out. Too bad it was a sick deal on my end.

The ski only meassures longer because we put a huge tail on it. That is raised off the snow anyway, so it doesn't really affect the length of the ski sitting on snow, but it sure helps in powder and slush.

I am 5'11" and I got the 189 hell bent...couldn't be happier. They turn on a dime. They only feel big when I'm carrying them. I went for 5.75cm forward of the traditional mark, and they are great in deep snow and fun to ride on the frontside too.

I'm lucky that where I do most of my hiking I can throw them in my backpack horizontaly (they don't fit in the vertical option, Dakine heli pro II old style). This method works well for riding the snowmobile too as it does not let the skis tear up the seat. Trying to carry these things on the shoulder I feel like a total noob. My brakes don't really catch like they should so they are always scisoring apart. It makes me laugh just thinking about how stupid I must look.

179 should be fine cuz if your rockki'n big gnar bucket turns you should have big gnar bucket skis. i want a pair

Pretty damn close. I am at work and my skis are at home. I'll check and get back to you on that. I wanted a little bit more tip than tail because I mostly ski bc....mostly.

oh dont go out of your way. i was just wondering.. but yeah i rode on my arv's thsi last weekend and they were set forward of center and they sucked for pow and charging...obviously. (and to those who are gunna call me a retard, i got new boots so i had to move my heel piece up further, thats why i was riding them forward of center)
