Yo i love big mountain, hucking cliffs, powder, hitting booters in the bc.....which one of this years skis of the reverse camber/rocker skis would be the best one to buy. i want this years so i can get a better deal.! thanks for the help homies

The only one of those I have seen people hitting bc booters on is the hellbent by andy mahre and pep fujas in Idea. But I'm from the east coast and have no firsthand experience.

Yeah the 189 Hellbents are awesome. I have them and am 6ft. Skiing powder and landing backwards is just too easy. The tails are so tall they never catch. And they do actually ski fine on hard pack...its weird. But I am interested to ski the EP Pros to see how they are. I really feel like the might be too soft. I mean the ski pretty much flexes just as much at the tip as it does underfoot. The Hellbents already feel very soft for a rockered ski and they're stiffer.

I would not be interested in the ARG with all that sidecut crap. Deffinetly the EP Pro or Bent. Then I would say to get the Bents, but only because I have skied them and like them. I don't know about the Pros.

The EP Pro and Hellbent (179) are very very similar skis. The EP Pro is a little softer and a little wider and skis a little shorter as it has more pronounced rocker. All in all though, quite similar skis. The ARG is a different beast. Not just stiffer, but stiff period. WAY better for big mountain skiing, but not as good for booters. I'd say they are equal in straight up pow, but the ARGs are more stable at speed. The ARGs can turn a little better in the trees, but the biggest difference between these two types is hardpack performance. The ARGs are a handfull, the hellbents can actually carve. And quite well I might add. On days with soft snow I'd probably give ARGs 5/10 and Hellbents 7 if no 8 days out of 10, there is that much difference in versitility.

That being said I absolutely love my ARGs and wouldn't trade them for hellbents. I ski more big mountain type stuff and don't bother with booters though. I also have Thugs to ski on the semi-fresh days. Take that information and make a decision based on what type of skiing you think you'd do more of.

Also, hellbents + another ski = awesome quiver. ARGs + 2 more skis equal awesome quiver. Again, hellbents are more versitile.

word thanks a lot man....some good info there! im leaning towards the bents but im finding ARG's way cheaper all over the net

Ive ridden the ARGs, and yes, they do rip everything but groomers. I rode them on a semi-pow day at squaw, where we were still finding untracked areas, and it was snowing, and we hit some cliffs. . . etc. . . but getting back to the chair, traversing on trails, and stuff was a feat in its own. I found my leggs going different directions a few times.

I havent ridding the hellbents yet, or the EPs, but I want the hellbents. my friend who owned the ARGs said that the EPs were almost too soft to bomb cliffs on. The hellbents are just sick, and have better graphics. Since graphics are the only reason to make a decision on buying a ski, I am going to go with them.

Any comment on how the comi compare? Tryin to find a ski, probably to replace my 189 ak enemy, thats floats, can charge decent cliffs and is still quick in trees, sorry to hijack thread but im feelin the comi is in the same boat as the hellbent, ep, and arg and im just wondering how it compares

do u want a stiff or soft ski, cause the arg's are like a 2bi4 to me, while hell bents and ep pros are noodles

Check out next years armada JJ's stiffer than the ep's and bents but not as stiff as the arg. plus good amount of rocker and arg style sidecut they ride well on groomers as well. also in my opinion the ep's are the radest skis ever due to the softness so much fun its retarded and they ride well on groomers.

Skiing hard pack on ARGS isn't horrible, just suck it up and ski. They are meant for big mountain ripping and powder, the groomer is

comi's arnt rockered they are more compare able to the Line Prophet 130's.

Awesome ski, but if you want rocker get the Moment Bibby pro or the Donner Party

Yah thats kinda what i figured, still sounds like such a fun ski even though it isnt rockered, are the specs for the bibby and donner out yet?

donners are 120-140-120( rocker, reverse side cut )

bibby pros are sex, and next years jjs are sex. id hafta pay retail for the bibbys. id hafta pay retail for the bibbys and im still seriously considering them, so that should give u an idea how sweet theyre looking

moment comi semi wide pow ski, moment comi-kazi really wide pow ski, moment ruby pow/allmountain, moment tahoe all mountain fatty, moment m1 big mountain, donner party pow pow ski (like the pontoons) and then the ninny pro for a versital reverse camber ski. (i didnt list park line up)

Well if your only ridin gnar gnar then the ep pros but if your goin mix in a lil park i know a guy who rides the hell bents park and pow with them and he loves them but hes a different riding style with them.

Im gonna be getting some bents this off season to replace my AKs which are 179s mounted +7. Im 5'11 and like to play in the trees. Should i get the bents in 179 also or step up to the 189?

yea i have the same question. i'm 5" 11" and will have a silly quiver next year...how heavy/unwieldy asre teh 189s (zero spinner).
