Heliskiing in uzbekistan ...

that looks like a ton of fun. Would probably be a fun adventure, and the cultural aspect would be a main reason I would do that. But, for actual skiing, I probably wouldn't gamble my money on skiing in uzbekistan unless I could be assured the skiing would be worth it. Cool find though.

if euro's so strong wouldn't that just make it more expensive? but they probably don't have the euro in usbekistan. very nice!

WHo says it doesnt snow there much? Its east-europe it can get freaking cold there. Dont know about the mtns and shit but sounds very cool. I always wanna go to kazachstan to go heliskiing. Shits so cheap there, but also dangerous...

How much for the heliskiing tho?

Ha ha ha Uzbekistan is not in Europe but it is quite close. Ive got a mate that Hellied there. He said it was amazing. He had to go and meet the minister for interior affairs and give him some cash to get a number for an ex-Russian general that has a chopper and they all went up in to the mountains (which have prenty of snow and steep decents) with a shit load of Vodka to keep them warm! Sounds wicked!!

Um, Im English so no MY CURRENCY is not the Euro its the Pound Sterling (£) which is much stronger. Its about $2 to the £1 at the moment and about 1.45 to the euro. So infact the euro is stronger than the $ at the moment.

Im not sure what my mate paid with, it may have been Rubals.

And yeah the chopper they had was an old Russian cargo one! They said they where all getting smashed about in the back with the doors open! ha ha. Sounds quality! He said that if they couldnt land they just had to srtap on and just jump out!! Like fuckin James Bond!!

after i wrote my college thesis on central asia, i've been DYING to get over there to ski.

maybe i can get a research grant. ??

I'd rather ski in Almaty, Kazakstan...

16k foot peaks just.. what.. 45 mins up the road from the city? not bad... they are going to implement a whole operation there too.. and convert what ski areas they have into massive destinations.

plus, you can find lots of massive human pubis for sale.. and get it for CHEAP.

sounds really cool, but u rly gotta be careful in a foreign country like that, i mean i dont know anything about uzbekistan but u just gotta be careful in an "off-the-grid" country like that b/c they prob do things WAY different then ur used to, but the website seems pretty legit

Seriously, you folks are so funny sometimes.

Gee you really think the euro is not the currency of Uzbekistan? You think maybe since the euro is relatively strong against the Uzbek som that when you convert your euros to soms you get lots of soms?

Americans can be so insular. Do you really think they are going to do things WAY different? ha ha ha, funny. Off the grid, if its not on T.V its off the grid! ha ha

yea. Their safety protocols are probably not nearly as strict as anything in the states, and if you happen to get injured I guarantee good medical attention will be harder to come by. But, honestly, that all sounds kinda fun.
