so my dad puts on a big event for his biggest customers every year, up until this year it has been a golf trip. but next season he is switching it to heli skiing, so i have been charged with the task of finding the best heli guide service. right now the 3 that look the best are chugach powder guides, mike Wrigley's, and north cascade heli ski.

anyone ever skied with any of these company's, or is there a better company that i have over looked

there are 3 criteria that the company has to be able to do

1. have room for 15 or so people

2. have fairly nice accommodations

3. can do different groups (beginner to expert)

any help will get mad K+

i have a friend who went up with chugatch.,.it looked amazing... I don't really know anything about it except that personally I think alaska sounds the sickest for heli trips.. thats a pretty sick company trip..im jealous. i would chop off my pinkys for a heli skiing trip

look into canadian mountain holidays, my dads been goin for the past 10 years or so, he's recently moved on up to some more difficult terrain in alaska but i know CMH is very accomodating for all different skill levels and they have an epic amount of terrain to cover.

^yeah I think CMH would be a good call because I would imagine the group will be of a varied standard (unless by chance your dad's 15 best customers all happen to be pro skiers) and they (CMH) are more accomodating to skiers at the lower end of the sale...

Anywhere in AK would be a bad call for the same reason, plus it is super easy to get skunked on weather which isn't gonna be ideal for his guests, whereas many BC heli ops have cat-ski options on down days.

What I'd really advise is for your dad to get in touch with www.eaheliskiing.com who are the biggest and best heliski specialists in the world. they will be able to point your dad in the right direction and put together the trip, often for cheaper than going direct to the heli op.

oh and MAKE SURE you are on the trip!

Mike Weigles is about as nice as you can get. Seriously it's incredibly nice with everything. The cabins, the meal, guides, everything is absolutely first class. The guides are super nice guys, incredible skiers, and great at what they do. Unfortunately I havent been able to experience the skiing first hand but I can tell you that it's nothing short of spectacular, or so my dad tells me.

although north cascades heli is fucking awesome, it probably won't work for you.

shamus flies that a-star b2 into the scraggliest of peaks onto the perchiest of landings because "these mountains don't shoot at me". but being an a-star, its just four riders and a guide.

your better bet would be a bigger heli op that can fly a bigbody huey or something and fit 10 clients or whatever in one load.

I realize I'm double posting here but definitely look deeper into Mike Weigle. His operation should be able to accomodate everything on your list.

def check out CMH. they're like one of the oldest and i'm pretty sure the largest heli operation around. they have a bunch of different zones across the province and have been catering to the rich for a long time. also for an all around experience maybe check out Revelstoke Mountain Resort. They got lifts, cats, and heli's to serve you all from the same shit - take the lift up, ride in the cat all day and get a heli ride back to town at the end of the day - no that's pimp.

oh ok. but like the other guy said, pick an operation that has helis and cats, unless you can be up there for like 2 or 3 weeks. cuz just helis makes it real easy to get skunked out on weather.

Haha my old man has a small golf tournament at our local course every year for all the employees and any important customers, i should try to convince to switch to heli skiing haha
