Heiroglyphics v.s. deltron 3030

This is probably in the wrong section but i think deltron 3030 is the exact same is heiroglyphics. they sound the exact same...not one difference. your thoughts?

deltron is like a music version of dels alter ego. del and dan the automator are the only ones that are involved in deltron 3030

Del is in Hiero, he does solo albums as does everyone else in the group. There is also another group with Hiero called Souls of Mischief. This is similar to the Mystical Journeymen and Living Legends.

they are all on the same label, and they colab all the time, and del is in hiero. so yeah, same group of dudes, doin different things. its not that weird. alot of guys do songsa with othergroups, and alot of guys do solo work.

Deltron 3030 takes one producer, one MC, and one DJ and throws them together. Dan the Automator (one of the founders of the Handsome Boy Modeling School and administrator of Dr. Octagon's porno hospital) reinvents himself as the Cantankerous Captain Aptos and teams up with Deltron Zero (a.k.a. Hieroglyphics crew member Del tha Funky Homosapien) and Skiznod the Boy Wonder (turntablist Kid Koala).

Souls of Mischief who is: A-Plus, Opio, Phesto and Tajai had done their album with the hieroglyphics crew. (Del the Funky Homosapien, Extra Prolific, Casual, Pep Love) and they often times colabbed with one another.

There ya go. hope that explains it to you

stupid question- ok is the black guy in gorillaz that raps on clint eastwood and such del? they sound so similar.

The gorillaz was a side project. It has all the members from deltron 3030 and a few new ones.

The Gorillaz:

Damon Albern/2d (better known from blur),

Kid Koala (same guy who is turntabelist for deltron 3030), and Del the funky homosapien (deltron 3030, hieroglyphics), and it was produced by Dan the automator (same guy who produced deltron 3030 and is involved with the hieroglphics crew)

Gorillaz also has Ibraham Ferrer appearing on the track 'latin samone', and Miho Hatori (Noodle/ in Cibo matto) doing bass/guitar/ vocals

Basically: Hieroglyphics, Souls of Mischief, Deltron 3030, and the gorillaz are all the same group of people collaborating and doing different side projects.

Danger Mouse produced the new album actually, and Del was supposedly "missing." I was thinking that they might be doing a Deltron 3031 or something.

Gorillaz was Damon from Blur's idea originally. There's an article in Wired about Gorillaz this month, check it out.

I know. The first self-titled cd though was in fact produced by Dan the Automator.

On their newest cd Demon Days, Albarn did go to Danger Mouse to produce it. Del, Nakamura, and Dan the Automator all did not return for the second album.

 
danger mouse did a better job with Gorillaz i think. not saying hes better, just a better fit for the concept.
