Height vs. Ski Size

Hi, I was looking at picking up a pair of ON3P Jeffrey 114s, however I'm 6'4, going on 6'5 and the skis only go up to 186cm so I was wondering would that be too small considering my size? They're to be used as all-mountain daily driver skis for pow days as well as on the hardpack on softer snow days in the french resort of Les Arcs. For icier days and park sessions, I ski a pair of K2 Iron Maidens. Opinions and if you think it is too small, can you provide any similar skis? I'd say I'm an advanced skier who spends most of his time jibbing around the hard pack and might take a couple laps in the park a day, cheers

Well obviously you might want to size up because of the rocker. But also, ON3P sizes big. My 176 Kartels are more like 178. I think you'd be fine as sander hadley is about your size (he's a big dude) and freaking destroys on these things in the 186 size. Personally I think its a good size to get. If you want bigger and stay ON3P you'd have to go the Jeff 122 in a 191 but I think the 114 in a 186 will do just fine

If any thing your weight and skier ability have a bigger factor in ski size. The heavier you are the more you need the length to support you same if you skiing really hard and fast. However if your lighter and not skiing so hard you will probably be fine on shorter skis. they do run bigger then most brands though so that 186 is more like a 190.

Well I'm a bit on the skin and bones side weighing 76KG but the way I ski is rather dependent on who I'm skiing with, sometimes it's jibby but still kind of fast if I'm riding with people who ski slightly slower or it's just constant charging when I'm skiing with my racer mates.

Ski length (in my experience) is more of an issue of "Is this too long to push around" or "Is this too short to get the whole feel of the ski"

You should be fine in a 186
