Height for Park skis

Ok NS, searchbar didn't really help me on this one....

am looking to buy Faction Kennedy's for next year, my height is 156 cms.

I already ski Public Enemies (159 cms) which I use everywhere including the park (set in "classic" posi), but am now looking to by Kennedy's cos I want a fun playful and buttery ski to muck around on (which I will set in NS posi)

The only problem I am having is deciding on is the height of the Kennedy, as their sizes come in 153 and 163 cms.

I don't have too many problems with the PE despite them being slightly taller than me, but a longer ski would be better for speed in the park, whereas a shorter ski would be easier to grab and lighter.

Even though it's traditional for skis to go between just above chin and eye level, the 153's go just below the top of my head and 163's just above....so this is where i'm stumped.

any help appreciated +K

I would go for 153CM Nick.

Means you can get your body over the skis for butters.etc and it means you can spin a bit more in the air. Are you getting these off the faction rep?

either one is fine dude if you plan on using them for more than one year go with the longer ones if you only plan on skiing them for a season go with the shorter ones, either way they both would be ok

I would go for the 153's because i usually like my skis coming up to about upper forehead, seems like a good measure to me

seing as you only want the ski for "mucking around on" and jibbing id go 153, head height isnt small for a park ski, if you wanted them for bigger kickers id def go 163 so they dont wash out but seeing as you dont, stick with the 153 and as someone else said the 153s will be easyer for butters n presses

depends if you want the ski to last you some time. You will grow out of a 153 pretty quick if your still at the age of growing. If it was my decision 163

Wouldn't it be easyer to grab with bigger skis? With the exception of nose and tails?

personally i'd say 163 because you'll end up growing.

Honestly, the biggest thing that I find with chosing a height for skis is your own personal preferance. I, for one, like skiing on a ski that is more on the long side, something thats my height or a few centimeters taller. In the end, Weight the pros and cons of each lenght, figure out which benifits suit you better, and think about the feel that you want when you're skiing. Hope that helped.

If you are already skiing 163's it depends how you like them i think that you should go bigger if your finding your skill level increasing but if you do want the decrease in weight go smaller its a preference though

Thanks for the answers ppl. Sad to say I won't be growing anymore! still a bit undecided but now seriously thinking goin the 163's
