alright so liek 1.5 weeks ago i severly bruised my heel and i couldnt ski for the pasdt time but whats a good way to fix my heel? ive been icing and resting because ive been sick. anything else i can do?

go down to brooks, cvs, or whatever and buy this stuff called arnica gel, or arnica something. It smells so bad, but it really helps.

 
well when i got x rays and stuff they just said take it easy...its been getting better but i want to be good for the east coast open...what does this arnica gel do?

i was told never to ice bruises except if its swelling. i had a severe one on my thigh and i had heat pads on it and it went away alot quicker than i expected

icing reduces swelling. heating increases blood flow. so ice it to stop swelling then once no more swelling heat it up and get blood flow going to get rid of bruise and clean area.

ohhhh thanks alot....my heel never swelled....so i should be heating it then i take it. maybe thats why it hasnt gotten much better over the past few days. it doesnt even have bruise marks on it justs hurts alot...ill see what heating does to it

i had this huge bruise from skating, i slippped out on the coping to my hip, wish i had gotten a pic now... anyways, it swelled up and i couldnt walk for 2 days, sorta had to hobble to class. i iced it cause it swelled like crazy. to this day, it is still hard and bigger than my other hip, and it happened last semester. not that that helps but i wanted to brag about my massive bruise

there is no swelling....the swelling has been gone for like 1 and a half weeks i just need the pain to get better faster

my friend did the same, a bruised heal and he has been icing it. he has been hoppling around for 2 weeks, and he was on crutches on thurs and he knew skiing was on sat and the he waas limping around all day today(fri) just so he can go skiing, i am trying to talk him out because he is taking me to tremblant on the march break. but he thought he should go and do a couple of runs then tape us for the rest of the day.
