Heel Injuries

I hate landing flat on jumps, and lately i've been hating it more than ever. Yesterday, i went off a 6 ' step up kicker and landed short on the knuck. Here is what happened: I did a 360 and was spotting the landing, and i knew I was gonna land short, so i panicked in midair. Because I panicked, i didnt lean forward or bend my knees, so I just landed flat on mostly my right ski. My question is... do different boots absorb impact differently? Because last year, I had dfferent boots and they seemed to absorb the impact better.

Footbeds and boot board mods will be your best freind. Footbeds are the best as they surport your foot in impacts. Then you can add padding to the boot board.

Thank you! Can you recommend what product to specifically buy?

Not really without seeing your feet. I would recommend a sidas footbed though. Do some research into the bootfitters around you and see what services they offer. Finding a fitter who knows what they are doing is your main concern. You will not be able to alter the boots yourself so find the best person around you to do it.
