Its not that bad, and it will make you a more versatile skier.

what are you kids talking about?? really heavy skis suck. period. mine weigh a shitload, which isn't right because they're pretty short. hiking the park sucks, and so does carrying them on a pack. i recommend getting new bindings.

yeah lizziebeth, heavier skis arent all that bad actually. somethign too light wont be able to ski crud and changing conditions very well. us real skiers want something that can push a carve through anythiung. too light of a ski will just get fucking manhandled.
naw lizzie's right, heavier skis make it harder to do trick. But its not impossible. The first two years I got into freestyle I had atomic racing skis with marker racing bindings with plates. And I learned a backflip in the pipe with those things. So dude you should just deal with it until you can get better bindings/skis
right, im not talking abotu doign tricks though, im talking about REAL skiing, like big mountain, powder, crud, ice- a light ski would suck balls in those conditions.
its not so much the weight but how far the weight is from your foot. If its mainly under your foot (ie binding ) it wont make much difference if its in your tips it will.
you are a pussy heavy skis will first make u haul ass, that then translates into getting the needed speed to hit a big table in the park. when ur freeriding to on the groomers once again ull go really fast and ur ankles calf and quads will get stronger cause ur working harder just keep skiing on them and ull end up ripping
I think the salomon snowblade is really light. give that a shot.
sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.
