Heavy or what?

Different ppl have been saying rossignol scratch are real light and some say they're real heavy. So what are they? or is it just different models are heavier than others?

the ski has a foam core. its very light. to much emphasis is put on the weight of the ski. scratches have about 80 days of skiing in them because of their foam core. line skis have at least 120 days of skiing because they have a wood core.

they are very light

asac- you dont know what your talking about only 120 days for lines no way much higher and even with the scratchs you cant put a number of days on them to ski. But true a wood core will hold up longer than a foam one

scratches have both foam and wood in their core. The foam is for engineered performance, and the wood is for durability

i work at ski shop. i know what i'm talking about. i said 120 days of skiing minimum before they become dead and much less responsive.

just cuz you work in a ski shop doesnt make you god of all ski questions..it all depends on how hard you ski them

^ Yea hes right its not that u cant ski them after that but their performance, pop and response are all lost or shitty.

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

scratch bc's are kind of heavy but they are a bomb-ass ski and they work like magic everywhere

i never said i was god of all skiing questions. i'm just letting you know whats up. sorry if i offended you.

i just dont want false information being put around....ive got four pairs of scratch's (1 Eco, 1 FS, and 2 BC) and i use them hard and theyve all lasted way past 120 days

'core shots just mean you're badass.' -itsbackfliptime

not the pro teen's..I have a pair of scratch eco's from last year that still rip...a pair of last years FS's that rip as well, and a pair of BC's from two years ago and a pair of BC's from this year, and i havent even come close to hurting either of those yet

dude don't listen to this kid. all he has are scratch skis. thats one good reason not listen to him. seems like he doesn't ski anything else. my bro bought pro teens last year, skis normally and the edge is already coming out. and yeti, if you're foam core skis have lasted longer than 120 days on snow, you're skiing on dead planks. trust me on this one.

i used to care how a ski rides...it doesnt even matter to me anymore, just so long as the ski can carry me into a jump or through a pipe with speed, and weight doesnt effect it for me either.

or you can trust me, since im the one skiing them and you arent...asac, just cuz you work in a ski shop doesnt mean you know everything about skis...i work in one too and i ski what works, and thats why i ride rossis....the only pair of mine that are close to dead are my eco's because they arent that nice...i have a pair of gotamas and a pair of TM's in my closet too...the Gotamas busted faster than a blink of an eye, and the edges ripped out on my TM's after repeated rail use. The two kids i go riding with both had salomons, one a pair of last years teneighties, and the other a pair of pocket rockets...both of them broke last season and my two year old scratch bc's held up fine. dont criticize me on what i know and dont know, i ski what works the best, and if i ride three pairs of scratches and they are all still good, especially my BC's after 2+ years of backcountry riding, then scratch's work. i dont know why you have some sort of fetish against rossi, maybe they raped you when you were younger, i dont know, but i do know the build tough skis that last

i have scratch pro teens from last year, i ski them pretty hard and theyve held up okay i guess, but get something else, they are so boring, and lifeless.

fine yeti, if you want to tell people to get scratchs because you're so in love with them go ahead. i've ridden them, i don't like them.

asac is right. my scratches have about 80 days on them, and they are pretty dead and are even more noodley then when i bought them

i will stop ragging on the reactors, i promise

fun things like picnicing??? ahaha thats like watching paint dry, sure picnicing would be fun if you invite 6 friends and you all bang the shit out of each other- lateralis

OnuJaarek, the number one ski for all mountain skiing would probably be the karma. its such a desiel ski and is soooo responive. any of line's pro models are good too. also k2's pe isn't half bad.

if the core is foam its gonna b a lite ski

yeah the scratches were decent. but i really prefer wood core skis.

do the foam core skis break easier? im a light skier so i guess weight wouldnt really be a factor in why they break.

If you're gonna ride the pro teens, you better be a light skier. Those skis are really soft. This is just a guess (so don't quote me) but I think you should be under 140 lbs to ride the pro teens.
