its pretty decent once its up and running. last year had 3 parks:

Olympic park:

7 good rails, 4 decent size jumps, 1 pretty big jump

canyon:

double c box, horseshoe box, 40 ft flat, a bunch more good rails, a few hits, pipe

groove:

two mini jumps, 5 beginer rails

The park is definatly satisfying, but I have to say the park crew could make it way sicker if they weren't so lazy

last year the park i went into at Heavenly had some damn big jumps and some nice rails. i didnt get into the park on the nevada side but the two on Ca side were nice. They had a mini rail park also which is great for beginers but im not sure if thats your thing. I dont much care for heavenly so i would also recomend Squaw or Kirkwood.

I'm waiting for someone to mention driving like 20 minutes to Sierra@Tahoe, which if the crew gets to work and stops circlejerking in the DJ shed could have the illest park in south lake.

Yeah, I am not a big fan of Heavenly's park. I would aim for either Krikwood's, Squaw's, or even Alpine's isn't half bad.

i honestly think Kwood could be the best in tahoe if they would take some damn money from building houses and put it into building express chairs. anyone agree?

Yeah a high speed chair at lift #2 and #4 would be a nice addition. They do have some huge plans though. Next time your up there take a look in the real estate office...they have a pretty cool layout that shows the future lift expansion.

 
fuck the express chairs...more people would go and that means less freshies for everyone. just wait out the slow lifts, its worth it.

hey ricker i have seen the plans and they do look very sweet, im excited to see Kwood in the future. and yea i agree there would be less freshies with more express lifts but they are gonna expand the back side which should helps out a lot. i think chair 4 and 10 are gonna be express which should help out so much. its rediculous they didnt make 4 an express when they built it.

Yeah Viperskier, it should be sweet...the only problem is there are a lot of active groups doing everything possible to restrict the expansion. Kwood was really close to getting a new chair at the bottom of Sentinel bowl that ran back up to the top so taht you did not have to go all the way down to 6, but I heard it is on hold for probably 2 years due to environmental impact reports.

 
wow ricker i didnt know about all the enviro BS, but i would be happy with just an express lift over on 4, it can be such a great place to ski when its not too windy, also if they expanded it like they plan it would spread the crowds out more and hopefull away from 6 and 10 where i feel to many damn rookies go thinking they are better than they are. resulting in the long lines.

11 could also use an express real bad for it seems like the lift to be on for lower to mid lvl skiers/boarders

south shore soliders park is only open to campers... when i saw it, it was absolutly insane though. all the parks in tahoe are really good.

ya H-a-g-ga-r is right. Sierra at Tahoe often gets over looked but they have some sick parks. jumps from 20-65 feet. doulbe boxes, huge S rail, c rails, mutli kink rails, and lots of others. and a 17 foot super pipe. ok...thats all I have to say

i agree that sierra has potential but there are just too many people there and they are all asian and all beginers. the lines are incredible and im not racist but its the truth, they all come up from san fran and the bay area. their parks are decent though they are just all spread out instead of one huge park like unbound or something
