heavenly doesnt have cliffs. if you like skiing bowls then thats a good place. they have a good park from what i hear. if you want cliffs go to squaw or alpine. you can always hike to good snow if you really want. also, alpine could give a shit about you skiing out of bounds, so unless we get a storm and there is an avalanch danger, thats a good option. northstar has the best rails and pipe but alpine has the biggest jumps. i would say that northstar has the best park.

I was there a couple seasons ago and yeah, no cliffs or anything, and only one actually 'bowl' that isn't that huge but it's still a dope place to ride. if you hook up with some locals and its a good snow day you'll have some of the best tree skiing ever. the park was definitely dope when i was there, but the southshore soldiers camp was going on so you couldn't ride the big one, just the intermediate park, which was still pretty dope.

i would say skip heavenly all together because that place is shit. I've heard good things but 8/10 times I've tried going there they would close the express to the top, basically not letting you ski anything worthwhile. I would recommend driving to Kirkwood which is about 30-40 minutes from Heavenly and much, much better. That place has the chutes and cliffs that you're looking for.

Just come up to north shore, much better skiing.

NS has become the official gathering of the world's dumbest people.

Scratch174, thank you.

^^are the chutes/cliffs at kirkwood hard to find, cuz im goin with my uncle who skis there a lot, but i doubt hed know of cliff spots

Heavenlys park is so sick right now and its getting better. the lips are always groomed and they are going to have a sick wall ride up soon. There arent cliffs but super good shoots, all we need is some snow here and it will be so awesome up there.

tahoefreerider you are wrong, I thought you lived in tahoe. Yes, sky express to the top gets closed for wind pretty often, but canyon express right next to it stays open. Its the park lift anyway. Their park can be really good sometimes. They have a lot of really sick jibs, but they are not that good at setting them up. Its a fun mountain for sure though.

umm she isn't wrong. it doesn't close that often. how often do you ride heavenly? i've been skiing there since i was 4 and sky chair doesn't close that much

I forgot, make sure you check out northstar while your here, their parks are always really sick and definatly go to squaw if you want cliffs. both resorts are only about 1hr. from heavenly

stlsnow- I prolly ski there about 50 days a year, the rest at sierra and northstar. sky has already been closed at least 5 times this season. why would i make this up, just trying to help the dude out.

thanks for the tips, r there even little cliffs u can hike to at heavenly? cuz im going wiht a friend so i will be stuck there several days
