im going to lake tahoe next year and were gonna ski a bunch of resorts.. im assuming kirkwood is better, but i want some ppl's opinions

kirkwood for all round, and when theres pow, heavenly for some park action

but in saying that theres still some great runs at heavenly when theres pow

some nice canyons and trees

This isn't even a question, Kirkwood is far better, Heavenly make look so but its lame skiing.

is how it goes in tahoe. everything good is on north shore. heavenlty is big but icy and reletively melloh. however if you really like moguls than i would go there. but if ur going to tahoe you want the full experience, so go to north shore. kirkwood gets the most snow, but is the farthest from anywhere relevent and is smaller. you will have no complaints at either squaw or alpine. northstar is super flat but has a good park but is super crowded. if you go in the early season than squaw will have no prak, but if you go in the spring squaw will have the best pipe in tahoe. next year the park is supposed to be sick also. alpine is less localized and had a more foreign attitude. and its always in the shade which is kinda depressing. if you decide to go to squaw though message me and ill tell you all the good spots to ski but im not gonna tell any secrets here. also any resort on the north shore will have more snow than dreemed possible so i wouldn't stress about getting to kirkwood. squaw has a fun village that gets better every year and trukee is pretty tight and its only like 45 min from reno. alpine has no village and parking is a bitch. also tickets are like basically the same price. so i would go to squaw but whatever you want cuz it doesnt really make a difference to me

Depends on when you come in the season. Around Southshore Soldiers, Heavenly's park is fuckin bad. Most other times, it's not as good as northshore.

There is tech terrain at heavenly if you want to find it, but Kirkwoods is more and better. And more diverse.

so in deep pow, kirkwood, but for park around SS time, hit up heavenly for some good kickers and circus rails. Also, northshore is sick.

i went to heavenly this year, and i loved it. it was sick. but thats not to say its the best, cuz thats the only place i went

Great thread - I'm heading to Tahoe in late dec/ early jan, any preference given that its pretty early in the season?

Thinking about heavenly but heard that it may be dodgey early in the season...

im going to lake tahoe 2 weeks after february break, so i hope it won't be too crowded, they better get like 40 inches of snow ha
