i read on the meadows site that they are making a new course in order to make heathers cannyon open alot more. even though i am a park skier, i am STOKED

I believe you are referring to the 105mm Howitzer gun for avalanche control and yes, it is definitely the goal to get Heather open earlier on powder days.

I'm pretty sure everyone on this site skis park...thats pretty much a given. You should venture out sometime though...theres a whole mountain to explore. Also, your sentence doesn't really make sense, but if you were trying to say Mt. Hood Meadows has a new way to implement the opening of Heathers Canyon sooner, they are installing a howitzer

i have never skied pow at meadows, i raced last season so there was no time, but this year im racing for meadows so i will have a pass there. kinda stoked, not stoked for traffic

do you live in or around portland, cause is you do going through hood river cuts back on a lot of the traffic problem.

haha one less person isn't going to make your trip any faster don't trick him, its way faster the sandy way.

To whoever started this thread: That was one of the most poorly constructed sentences i have ever seen.

But yeah hopefully heather will be open earlier in the day now that they're getting the cannon.

Who the hell is Heather and why does she get a whole canyon named after her? Lets start by refering to runs by their actual names, hows that sound. Jesus F'ing Christ!!!!

The area is called heather's canyon...it is the actual name. Just like private reserve is called just that, private reserve.

Damn You got me. It's actually spelled "Heather'zz" on the trailmap... weird. But I still think Pirate's Reserve is way more fun to ride. I'm hittin up Mt. Hoods Meadow as soon as it dumps. See you hosers there.

Hey man I got 2 1/2 sweet turns at T-line last year, and yes they were in the trees and it was also pretty close to being steep out there. It just sucks cuz all these big mtn riders keep snakin all my good lines over here. I might have to hike up on the Mile and start claiming some shit up there. We'll see, it's just hard to find a bro to go up there with all the exposure, cliffs and avi danger, on second thought I'll just keep it real on Pucci. Bring yo shovel bitches!

I had some good turns on Heather Canyon when I hit it on a powder day last January. I thought it was fun but really nothing too special. I had a lot more fun in private reserve, my gf's brother took me down in there and it was fuckin phenominal.
