so i found out a few weeks ago that i have a serious heart problem and that i need to get surgery to fix it.

the only thing is..... im getting the heart surgery in the beginning of January. because i will be in college nowhere near any snow either, i will have 1 week to ski this season. i was supposed to go to Jackson HOle with my dad for 2 weeks in january, but instead ill be in a hospital bed recovering from my chest being cut open. luckily however, my dad is letting me raincheck that trip and hell pay for a spring break for me in march since i am unable to ski basiclly at all.. ughh this fuciking sucks. there goes my winter. cant wait till winter 07-08 .
 


i have something called WPW syndrome. i have an extra passage way in my heart and they need to remove it because right now its putting me at very high risk for nothing good.
 
You should be really thankful they caught it before something bad DID happen to you. Good luck with the surgery though. This winter will probably suck anyway.
 
omg, im sorry that sucks, my cousin had to get heart surgery. good luck with that. sucks bout the skiing tho, at least you can have a big spring break trip.

jeez i thought what made me stop skiing last winter was bad...well i know that must be incredibly scarey but your lucky that they caught it before it was to late. well good luck and hang in there
 
good luck. i dont think you should be worried about skiing though. worry about your surgery and a fast recovery, so that you can ski.
 
Much love from people you dont know, take that one week off and ski every day you can. I'm sure some of us would do a few runs in your name if you ask!
 
Ya thank god you're not going to die before your time. I mean...whats one winter in the scheme of things. Take all that money you saved from lift tickets and go out to camp for like 4 weeks next summer.
