that's weird though, because whenever a doctor checks mine, it's in the 90s. I guess I just get nervous around doctors or something.

I wasn't lying, it's apparently possible to be below 55. I had 52 yesterday. I just did it again and got 27 in 30 seconds, which is 54. Doesn't seem that excessive. 35 does seem excessive, however.

i checked my heart rate last night, at 66, then i smoked a spliff and it shot up to 84 like that.

I got counted 56.... but on the topic of the heart, do you any of you guys ever feel your heart like skip a beat a few times... like 'beat...beat....beatbeatbeat....beat...beat.." It freaks me out when it does that. its usually when ive been skiing and am sitting down.

88. i dont know what's wrong with me. but mine are ridiculously high and im just sitting here. i dont smoke, do drugs or anything. im out of shape because of injury and i havent broken a sweat in 3 weeks. is that bad?

mine's like 63. i have hyperthyroid disease pretty bad and before i realized i had it and started taking drugs for it, my heart rate was over 120 bpm even after lying in bed for an hour. i was pretty fucked up

man, I practically gave up reading this on page two because so many people don't know what they're talking about...

A resting heart rate in the 60's is healthy. 70's is still pretty healthy. 80's means that you should probably be doing more cardiovascular exercise. An RHR in the 50's is very good... I highly doubt that nearly all of you are in the 40's.

lack of cardio exercise will cause you to have a higher heart rate.

I had surgery in grade 9 and was out of school and not doing any physical exercise for almost 5 months, and my RESTING heart rate at that time was around 100bpm. before then my resting heart rate was somewhere in the 60's.

As far as getting into better shape: weight lifting and shit, that hardly does anything for your cardiovascular system. things that get your heart pumping such as running, swimming, etc. will help you reduce your heart rate.
