don't waste your money on the black ones, they dont have anything on the silvers, and there only $40 less. \

Silver ones: More comfortable, bigger, Better sound(louder, clearer), hold to your head better, block out more outside noise, and look cooler.

It kinda sucks ridiing with such big objects on yo head. I like little i-pod style head phones.

sony MDRs are nice. they have good speaker disk, but mostly people buy them cause thee look sick. the MDR150,200, and300 are black, and the 300s are silver. they are almost identical, so dont pay the 50 bucks for the 300s, it isnt worth it. you can make the 150s fold up with a 2 second fix, and they are easy to take a part and spray paint silver. the MDRVJ series (500/700) are really nice. they are expensive, but are pretty cheap on ebay or www.ecost.com. they have big drivers, tons of bass, and are tough. the 5s are black, and are not as nice, and the 7s are the big silver ones you always see. howerver, Aiwa makes a 30 dollar headphone that is really nice. same low response as the 700, same high response as the 500, neomodium (sp) magnets, 40 mm drivers, and an external mute button. not as cool looking, but they sound just as good as the MDRVJ-700s off an mp3 player. they wont handle anywhere neer the power of the big sonys though, those things can be used as computer speakers. but check ecost if you want mdr 700s for 96 shipped. 56 or something for the 500s. dj headphones are the way to go, cause they really help keep your ears warm.

i don't know if you heard of it gut googlesearch behringer...they're comfortable and lookin good +the gret sound

get silver sony ones.. the only bad part about them is the prong that plugs into your mp3 or whatever, is long and sticks straight out. that made mine break off in my mp3 when i fell. either dont fall, or get one with the prong that goes off to the side

fuck a book

im going to be wearing a helmit so... will they fit under it?

you could drop 400 on some bose noise canceling ones. that block out outside noises

What helmet are you wearing? Haha, no, Studio Monitoring headphones like the Sony's listed above will not fit inside your helmet haha.

i don't know what all that jibberish was up there but I have the silver ones and the black ones, there is a big difference. The silver ones cover your ear better wich cancels out sound and they just have louder/clear speakers over all.

dont get noise cancelling ones! thwe microphone pics up wind noise while skiing, and ruins the sound. you cant turn it on while skiing.

ummm the sony DJ ones are about $140 and the 'silver and black' one you talk of are 40 and 20, the MDR-V300's (silver ones) are super nice compaired to the black ones (sound and quality of product).

have you ever l;ooked at the stats on the 300s and 150s? they are identical. there is one little differnce somewhere, but is sosmall, you would NEVER notice. they are identical, but the 300s have a better plug, and they fold up. if your considerings the mdr 300s, just cop out another 10 bucks and get the mdrvj 500s. way better.

well all i know is my silver ones sound better then my friends black ones. also the 500's are 140 not 50 so its dishing out and exta 100 not 10. worth it if you are willing to risk breaking them.

no.the 700s (silver) are 150 msrp (can easily be had for way under 100). the 500s are under 60 bucks.

i looked on google but all i could find was 3D Animation porn-sxmarty6

ECS headwear, hit me up!

puke mixing up the 500 and 700. but yeah you can get the 700 for cheap but who cares they are a little big to ride with (not saying you can't but i think it would feel weird to ride with phones that big) and why ride with a pair that expensive? ride with the 300's or 150's. i ride with my 300's when ever i can, broken one of the arms on the earpeice, not the bigest deal to fix but i would be pissed if it cost me $100-$150. instead of $20-$40

full on dj/studio headphones are a waste for skiing, plus most portable mp3 players don't have the balls to even make them play loud (most dj headphones will be capable of handling 1000 to 3000 milliwatts, and most mp3 players put out FAR less than that). the sony's everyone's talking about in this thread are nice, but you still can't wear them under a helmet. i have a pair of sony's i bought for $10 that are buds, but have a crutch type thing that fits over the whole back of your ear. they don't sound super great, but i can wear them all day whether i'm listening to music or not because they are really comfy.

get the ipod ones not the ons the come withit but the ones that have rubber on them and like block out the sound

im not sure what the r called

get tuneups. or get the little sony blue ones that wrap around the back of your ear. good sound, and only $10. a steal

depending on my mood, you might get a nice thoughtful responce that might make sense, or you might get complete jibberish that is not wise to even read. good luck
