What are the best headphones (when it comes to price to quality ratio) you guys know of? Not looking for skiable ones, just for casual listening. +K for links

idk about u but my skull candy's are champions! i have slammed pretty hard with them but they still are going strong

Sony XB700's are pretty good, as long as you don't mind bulky headphones

also, there's some kicker headphones that look a lot like Skullcandy Icon's, if anyone knows anything about them they might be pretty sweet

I haven't really got anything against skullcandy but the durability really isn't great at least in the cheaper ones, I'm not really sure about the more expensive ones

skullcandy ink'd. they get a lot of flame but for like 15 bucks they're fantastic. on my phone with DSP manager i can get sound and bass quality comparable to beats

these are what i use, they have really good sound quality and are super comfy

no skullcandy, no bose, no beats. i would recommend the klipsch s4. quite honestly the best purchase ive ever made. great sound quality for around $80.

If your looking for the best sound quality go with the Audio Technica ATH-m50's. But if your looking for style while still having pretty good sound quality take a look at the Phiaton MS 400.

This. Don't waste money on beats its basically just four pairs of skullcandys all dedicated to different noises... Not Worth it

Sennheiser HD280pro, $80 and kick harder and cleaner than comparable sony and beats that cost more than twice as much

threadjack, but I want a nice over the ear pair of headphones for video editing. up to 8 hours of usage so cozy, and decent EQ

I've got skullcandy skullcrushers and they sound really good. The bass can sound like shit sometimes if you have it turned up all the way though. And the inkd earbuds are actually really nice for the cost.

Jamie, I'd recommend some Sennheisers to you. Great sound quality, very comfortable, and depending on your budget, you can get a pretty decent pair of headphones. I prefer their Audiophile series, I used to have a pair, and a few of my friends have them and swear by them. Here's the link to their line, I'm not sure what your budget is, but the cheapest is around $100 in their 500 line.

I have some Sony MDRV150s that I've had for like 6 years and are still good, use them on my computer. The sound is good and they were like $30.

I use cheap no-name silicone ear buds that I got at my local hardware store for $6 for when I'm skiing. They were $6 and sound fine so I think they might have the best sound:price ratio possible.

I also had a pair of frends Allies that I got for like $15 because I wanted headphones with a mic for my iPhone, but they broke.

Mine broke (plastic arch that holds the speaker to your ear snapped, now I cant wear them :(

shame, they were really good too, might just buy another pair

Grado sr60. easily the best headphones under $100. you will not be disappointed. anyone else who has em can vouch for this. they don't look that great, but like you said you won't be skiing much in em.

i would love some slim headphones, with decent over-the-ear speakers that are fairly thin, and a thin strap over my melon so they can comfortably tuck inside most any helmet, yao ming?

or is somebody about to point out some product i haven't seen..

those are good. i used them in my video class all the time. they have very good sound quality and they also keep your ears nice and warm and are super comfy. i have some senheisers and there are really nice too. don't waste money on dre's they are over priced and you can get better headphones for way cheaper.

Btw for skullcandy hate there warranty policy is soo good. If its a defective product....lifetime warranty if it's ur fault...aggressive enjoyment warranty = 50% off new skullcandy who else does that???

beyer dynamics dt770 are easily the best headphones i've ever worn, superb sound quality and almost completely cancel out surrounding noise ....

excellent for studio work, also very comfortably but a bit too bulky for outside/on the move use ...

I've had skullcandy Titans and Holuas, and they both are awesome ! my titans were less durable than my Holuas, which are actually still holding up well. overall pretty good sound quality for ~ $100.

i've also had a pair of Sennhesier RS 116s, and they are dope ! had em for a few years now, no problems, and the quality is sick. downside is that they are more just an around the house type of headphone.

for earbuds tho, i would go sennhesier or klipsch.

I paid 30$ for a pair of skullcandy lowriders haven't had a problem and ive hit them off rails multiple times unless your looking for ear buds which everyone seems to be posting then I don't know but headphones mine were awesome for the price plus you get a lifetime warranty.

Actually it probably isn't everyone always recommends skull candies on this site HA.But OP Grado S80 give them a look or some porta pro's both very good sound quality for the price, grado's look steezy as hell too if you are trying to show up some dre beats fags.

SR80* and someone else said SR60's those are good too I have listened to both but I from what I have read/ experienced the SR80s give better bass and will last longer because they are made of better quality parts.

I forget which ones we've got, but my father and I have been sharing a pair of Sennheiser studio headphones for years and they're amazing. I'd go with a pair of Sennheisers though, for sure.

great ! i find it makes the midrange frequencies sounds really good. it handles bass pretty well too.

this.

no highs no lows, must be bose.

for in ears, go with the klipsch s4. super quality sound, only 80 bucks, and awesome frequency response with the highs and lows.

I might be able to get the $300 beats for like $70. I hate the brand, but is the sound quality good enough to make them worth it for that price? I'm guessing no, but i'm not sure.
