Headphones on the Hill

I have a full playlist of the music from my favorite edits so I'm enjoying the ride and imagining I look super sick. Including classics like: Pile driver, cali P, loud pipes, gun talk, back from the dead and much more

U got Spotify?

hate to be a downer here but I honestly think skiing with headphones is kinda dangerous cause it makes you way less aware of your surroundings.

I've tried listenin to music while riding but tbh I like talking to randos on the lift too much and trying to pause/play music and take earbuds out in order to hear gets old. If it is a dead day and can I ski right onto the chair I may break out the jams.

It sounds weird but the only thing I ever listen to while skiing is Pretty Lights. I have all his albums on my ipod and just let it play through.

I switch off between earbuds in or without them and just be alone with my thoughts, the sounds of nature, wind whipping, trees moving in the wind, idk its kind of an ASMR thing for me weirdly.

Im a big fan of podcasts on the morning drive up the mountain so ill check this out. But for tunes, Its mostly some heavy psych rock/desert/stoner rock and metal to get amped when i wanna ski something scary

I go one earbud in. You still get the tunes for riding but you can hear people on the lift as long as they sit on the earbudless side. You can also still hear your surroundings pretty well too

Most of the time I go no music, but when I do I like to listen to full length concerts from start to finish. Give that a try its sweet

I agree. The general public is already completely oblivious to everything around them, and cutting off hearing makes it even worse.

i never listen to music when I ski. I need to hear what is going on around me. I should post this in the unpopular opinion thread.

My whole thing is that it doesn't really seem to be necessary when 99% of my skiing anywhere near the general public is passing them on my way to the lift line, because I'm (obviously) the best skier on the mountain.
