headphone jack fucked up

aight, so the headphone jack on my mp3 player is all fucked up from listening to music while skateboarding. I think it's from the headphone plug being moved around too fast (from moving around and such) and the actual jack on my mp3 player can wiggle around a little now. Whenever i wanna listen to music on it, even just sitting somewhere, i have to hold the headphone plug at a certain angle for sound to actual come through, though sometimes it only comes in through one side. Anyways, i'm just wondering if there is a fix for this or if it's fucked. There's another plug called Line-out which i've been using lately (can't adjust volume through it, it's always all the way up) and that one isn't fucked up yet but is there a way to fix the other headphone jack or at least a way to keep the Line-out plug from getting screwed up and still be able to skate with it? any help would be cool

happened to my discman. Shipped it to Sony 2X, it was fixed for a week then broken again. So I found another to fix it. It involved a garbage can and a toss. Worked like a charm, my new Panasonic discman is much better than any bitch Sony that I've ever owned

To make a long story short: The best way to fix it is to throw it out and get a new one, after you check the jack by trying it out with new headphones.

is there any way to prevent it with a new plug, like duct tape the shit out of it so it doesn't move at all?

That happened to one of my CD players, and I didn't need it any more so I took it apart and pushed one of those little square things on the circuit board back down into place and it somehow fixed it. Do so at your own risk though man, I don't know how expensive your shit is.
