Heading to Wanaka!!!!

Yeah me and Scotty Stapes are heading to Wanaka in July now, its official. Soo happy and looking forward to ski n' party with all the locals...

I was wondering if anyone who is living in Wanaka at the moment has some space on the floor for us to crash out on (we are in wanaka from the 13th to the 20th). Even if anyone has a place to crash for just a night or two it would help us out majorly, we are trying to slum it. So any help would be totally cool, also if peeps are driving up to Snowpark n' stuff it would be cool if you have space if you can give us a lift up, and then we can ski together and stuff.

So any help would be totally appreciated, i'm so excited. YAY SKIING!

well scotty has found a place to stay, so its pretty much just me that needs a place to stay for a bit, if anyones got space let me know... otherwise any suggestions for a good backpackers would be sweet.

When I 1st got here I stayed in Purple Cow hostel, which is really nice, costs $22 a night. If you get a room in a self-contained unit u get a mini kitchen, lounge, sofa tv etc so it's pretty good. I think there may be other cheaper places. Some friends have jus moved into Bullock Creek hostel, which is quite a bit cheaper. Costs $100 for the week.

 
yo 13th of july mark?? im movin to my house in wanaka on 22nd june so if u cant find any where to stay i got space in da monday til thursdays cause parents there rest of time and il be ridin sonwpark a lot

 
Hey hey. It's official! I too am heading to wanaka in July.8th to the 18th to be exact.

Airfares are so cheap from Oz, its just as expensive as 10 days here.

At this stage I'm staying at a buddies place, but that might fall through, in which case i've booked at the Purple Cow. Its gonna be sick!

Any recommendations on places to ski? I'll head to snowpark for a bit, but not too, much coz I want to mix it up a bit (and I can ski park any time I want here anyways).

Also, someone who lives there, tell me where the good places to go out are. Where do all the cute snow bunnies hang out? lol

Looking forward to it all! Maybe see some of you there.

cheers Sam, if all falls thru i have a mate whos stayin in a caravan that i can stay in (but dont really want to) also there are some people i half know that are down there and i might just turn up at their doorstep and complain about hypothermia or something. but if you are heading up to snowpark sam it would be mint if you could give me a lift if i'm stuck or something. i'l def be heading to TC on a pow day tho as i suspect you will be too...

Sounds like it could be good fun up at Snowpark that week.

I don't know who or what anyone looks like from this site though. Would be cool to be able to look out for people up on the mountain (and in Wanaka)....

 
well ill be riding there with armada T-Halls, i most probably be riding with two guys on new fs scratches.

yeah it would be cool to meet some people and get a group together to ride or something, I fly out tomorrow night, get to chch sunday- then will be making my way to wanaka eventually. I am there until August 16th.

 
Im hoping to head down some time prob mid august (after mardi gras). Have to see how the canada fund is looking....

 
I'm at Snowpark for the whole season so I'll no doubt be there most of those days. Will probably be riding on Fujatives (if they've arrived by then) and red and grey jacket (crap, waiting for new one!)

Will see you guys there in a couple of weeks. If we've got enough snow by then. It did snow yesterday, so its starting to look a little better...

 
Im gonna be in wanaka from the 16th 23rd of July. Will be riding TC and snowpark. It'd be great 2 see some of you guys down there
