Heading out to Banff

I'm going to be at sunshine village for the last week of november and i'm wondering what good to ski there at this time.
Thanks

most skiers aren't going to just put that shit online for the world to see. try and meet some folks and hit shit with them, way more likely to get a hookup that way

the staff at sunshine is super disrespectful, they are all buisness and completely discourage having fun... BUT although i reccomend lake louise better, standish is where its at tons of natural jumps andf hits all over. also wawa, everywhere else is a zoo. its all a zoo, so many people all the time. the park is rank though. but get there at like 5 am if you dont wanna have to walk for 10 minutes. really i hate sunshine and i think you should go lake louise. oh and also the ski out is epic if your into messing around and shit.

The staff @ sunshine is a bunch of drunks who only have fun at work. Anyone who says otherwise is a retard from olds who does not know any better.

i suggest sunshine over lake lousie, if you think the staff at sunshine are disrespectful, you probably started lippin off, the park is sick, if you know where to go the terrain is unmatched, i have spent a few seasons there and party with alot of people that work on the hill, there's a sick group of people that are back every year. lake lousie doesn't get as much snow, if the back side isn't open or they haven't seen snow don't even bother going, as for sunshine if they have got alil snow the wind loads it into some awesome spots. if you want steeps with some huck options on standish, check out the virgin and garbage shoots. i wouldn't go near hotel cliffs this early in the season. headwall has some fun terrain options. wawa has the mini park set up right now youo'll find somegood stuff, if angels open look around under and around tee-pee town there is some good stuff. i won't say more... rock ledges is great but has mammed a few brave heros early season. my advice for sunshine is if there isn't tracks in it don't ski it, because there are a bunch of locals that would have beat you to it if it wasn't full of rocks. so lousie is good on a pow day, and there jump line is pretty sick. sunshine has a way better vibe and i think alot easier to find really fun terrain

if you wanna go there, ill go there, about olds and what the hell is it to you. but if you seriously dont think the staff there are the slightest bit against butting in the singles line when its 60 people deep of city slickers in snowmobiling jackets, (which of course they are but really) or making a joke, hitting some side booters, hikin for pow in a non roped off area that is "obviously closed", or bombing it from the top of the run cause you see them heading to rope off the park at 3:30 when it closes at 3:45 so you can make one more run only to find out theres tape across every feature so you duck under the fence and go to a better run and get bitched at by a douche bag snowboarder whos been sitting around with shovels drinking beer pretending to work all day because its against the rules and you say 'my ass' and flip him the bird, AMONG AN ASS LOAD of other stuff, then suit yourself. but if you maybe got out to some decent ski hills that actually care about skiing and not raking in dough from yuppy suckers and asian tourisits that dont know any better, you could maybe recognize bullshit from decent 'customer service', whatever youll wanna call it.

if your going to ski hills for customer service, your a knob gobbler.

the best hills i have ever skied are ones that definitely don't try to put all that fake customer service bullshit on there staff.

you skied whitewater, red mountain, castle mountain, or fortress(r.i.p)?

try to be a little dick head there and one of there staff will bury you in the woods.

you make little to no sense about why the staff at the shine sucks, everything you said you have been bitched at for you admit to doing something wrong.

maybe you should just go backcountry touring then you don't have to deal with any staff, and you can ski anywhere you want.

backdoor is dope. Cut left once you get off chair on goats eye for yummy snow if its a pow day. Not sure if its open but if you have the equipment but the dive and wild west are super fun too.

this is true, i wouldn't go in back door right now though, the creek bed would just be a shit show, maybe after another 50cm's, lower side door can be sick but if you don't know where your going you can get cliffed out pretty hard. i'm guessing the goat won't open till december, the dive as well

Who the hell are you? Seriously. I work park staff, and I have NEVER seen this at all this season. I am in Wawa temp park everyday. We slowly close features at 3:30 that you can still have shit to hit. At the end of a full day of hiking, raking, shoveling, snowblowing, and getting the big park ready maybe I would like to get home by 6ish. The facts are we have more features then ANYBODY in the region right now. You are the only BS comment I have heard so far, everybody else is stoked on our park.
The drinking beer comment is so wrong its not even funny. We have a strict contract saying that if we are even suspected of drinking on the job we get fired. SO THERE WAS NO ANGRY SNOWBOARDER DRINKING BEER TELLING YOU TO GO HOME. I dare you to come spend one day with us, just one day with staff and tell us we don't work. Im sure you would last maybe an hour. I work tomorrow, come and see me. Just spend some time and find out what we really do instead of just blabing your mouth off on the internet.
When staff butt in line, its because we have to get up the mountain to do work. Because we have something urgent to do. You don't know shit, and it shows that you have no idea how the ski industry works at all.

I was in banff about 8-9 years ago...so much fun, I honestly thought lake lousie blew in comparison to sunshine, their lifts sucked the big one. Sunshine was huge i was like 12 or 13 though...It would be sick to go back, wild west and delirium look sick. Hit up Norquay while ur there just cause you can. One ticket worked at all three when i was there....
