Heading out to Banff tomorrow!

What's the snow like boys? Leave Ontario tomorrow morning, and check into Banff around noon. I'll be skiing Louise on Friday, Sunshine on Saturday, then Louise on Sunday, then Sunshine Monday morning. Then head back home. If anyone sees me, say hi... It will make my buddies know i'm cooler then them. I'm gonna be rockin next years Bacons (white with trees on them) and a sessions white and khaki stripe coat with khaki pants, and a white helmet.

Anything I need to check out for sure? I've never been to banff before.
WORD

It's closing weekend at The Lake, so expect a bit of a zoo.

The snow's been good recently, so surfaces should be pretty refreshed.

If anything, Saturday will be your best snow day. Make sure to hit the backbowls in Lake Louise and check out a couple of short IN BOUND hikes. Some dude from SW Ontario just died out there yesterday.....so if it feels stupid, it's cuz it is.

I'll warn ya, straight up too, be aware that Goat's Eye will shredd the crap out of your new Bacons.

You'll cry after hitting a few jagged rocks on Goat's Eye at full tilt.

All in all, the Lake and Sunshine are doing well for this time of year. Kill some gnar.

I'll

Ok, thanks for the heads up on doing stupid shit... I can avoid that. Are you telling me to avoid goats eye too? Or just be aware of the coverage?

Thanks by the way!

I will possibly be at Sunshine on Saturday, i'll give u a shout if I see u. My advice would be not to do the ski out if it's warm, shit will be slushy, flat and melted down, not a whole lot of fun spesh if you're with any boarders.

^^^agreed on ski out, will be so bad. At some points last time i was there, i was probably going slower then walking pace.

But Ill be there next monday. Will most likely be riding park all day, and a little standish..

No, def. go check out Goat's Eye. It's the steepest and likely the best part of Sunshine...I'm just saying if you're going where it says "Marginal Conditions" it's bloody marginal conditions. New skis and goat's eye never mix well.

As for the ski out, if you're like ONT like I am, the ski out at sunshine is probably the longest run you'll have skiied in a long time. It's worth taking it for the novelty alone. I'm like the only regular that takes it every time. Frankly, the mountains haven't worn off for me yet. I enjoy every damn turn out here....even though I've been here years.

As for doing stupid shit, use common sense. Though avy danger isn't too bad right now, it can change on a dime. And this ain't Blue or MSLM, there's plenty of shit that can get you in trouble....and a lot of it is fun, but use your common sense. I'm at Louise on Saturday...maybe Shine on Sunday.

The beer gardens should be rippin'.

why don't you use your common sense and just let the fucking guy do what he wants, he never said he was going OB did he? and if he did who gives a shit you're not his father.

the ski out was pretty bad about 2 weeks ago.

there was patches of rocks on the lower ski out. but it was so windy, i gladly took it because i was sketching out so bad. the gondola was swinging back and forth

I am here and fuckin pumped... i'm over at caribou lodge or whatever. Hope we get some blue bird, but i don't really care... just happy to be here at the end of april. Are there any good shops in town?

And mad props to the old kokanee Gold, how i've missed thee!

word same here. i dont know if i was more scared of the gondola blowing off or my skis falling out.

i just closed my eyes for the last half of the trip
