Heading down

Hey all,

I am heading down to the south Island of New Zealand at the beginning of August. How are conditions shaping up down there and where do you suggest skiing? I plan on going to snowpark 1 or 2 days but would rather get on some mountains with good terrain and vertical. I have only been to Mt. Hutt and Cornet Peak....

I also will have a very small Moment Skis demo fleet with me so if you are interested in demoing a pair let me know so we can meet up.

sorry to jack your thread but i would also like to know as well, i will be there starting aug 16 for a week and a bit, hows the weather and the conditions gonna be?

we've just had about 2 or 3 weeks of some real shit weather, so hopefully you'll hit a patch of good weather, but theres a pretty good amount of snow and conditions aren't too bad. have fun

You would be crazy not to come to Mt.Hutt these days. By far the best conditions in NZ for a comerical field. Everytime the south gets 5cm Hutt gets a meter. There isn't any terrain on the mountain you can't ski. Patrol where using huge bombs today to clear terrain. Car alarms were going off in the car park from how much they made the mountain shake. Even Kea rock is being hucked which is 65 feet. Cantebury club fields are epic as well, the whole area is making wanaka and queenstown look so shit

FUCK YOU!!!!! hahahaha i slayed myself at Hutt early season and now I can't ski!!!! really good luck on my part deciding to injure myself the worst I ever have when Hutt decides to have a record season. Bugger.
