Head protection

What is the best company or helmet out right now in terms of protection. No full face helmets please. I have to get a good one now because of some serious head injuries in the past from lacrosse. Help is appreciated!!!!
 
from what im aware, all helmets have to pass tests to say that they are up to standard in terms of protection they give, from their it is personal preference

scott,salomon,k2,sweet,red,smith all make helmets
 
i know they all have to make a certain standard in safety but i want a company that goes above those standards since my brain 'fragile' now
 
Probably poc. I am pretty sure they are the only helmet that has an inner and outer he'll that move somewhat separately meaning your head has more area to move meaning less of your brain slushing around in your head. Hopefully someone can confirm this for me though since I am not 100% sure.
 
I fully regret not just buying a normal pro-tec helmet for skateboarding. I don't understand the need for ski helmets to be so gigantic, until 10 years ago nobody wore them anyway.

my ski hemet absolutely saved my life, and maybe a protect would have as well but they arent designed for the speeds involved in skiing.
 
Have you heard of C R Johnson? i believe he wasn't wearing a helmet. look where he is now.... RIP CR. i may be wrong but he sustained some horrible head injuries....
 
no he was wearing a helmet...

but when you fall of a cliff and hit your head on rocks your helmet really wouldn't help

From that sentence.. it looks like you may have had a head injury or two.

I've never had a head injury when not wearing a helmet... that doesn't mean it's the best option to protect your brain from being smashed into goo.
 
SMITH. like it was posted before just read the safety tests that they have had to pass also the the helmets will be classed differently mine is a B
 
POC. For what you need, POC because there's a reason their helmets are so expensive. They have the best protection material.
 
POC RECEPTOR BUG SERIES! POC Makes the best helmets ever made. i wont let any of my friends, co-workers, family, or anyone else buy anything but POC. My home mountains bought all of their employees new POC helmets because they are good, safe, reliable and it drops the insurance for the hill to have safe helmets like that. I have 3 POC Helmets. I will never buy another helmet brand ever.
